FAO Those against a ground share.

What about the idea of a ground share annoys you most? Don't bite my head off but I'm not against it at all. Filbert Way doesn't feel like our home yet anyway and is too much like every other new stadium built apart from the odd one. It lacks character etc. If it helps Leicester City financial to have Tigers share then I'm for it. Anyway the ground isn't important for me because It's Leicester City I support and I'd watch them if they played their games on a park.

Jon has a valid viewpoint here.

I don't know whether I'm for or against it yet, I need more info. If the only opposition that someone has is the possibility of a Green seat, it's not much of an argument is it.

After all, some of the old seats in the double decker were red but we went to the games.

Losing identity is a stronger argument and I don't know the extent of the proposed changes, it may even give us a stronger sense of identity in the long run who knows?

My biggest worry over it all is the playing surface though I suspect one of the reasons we bought Pressman was to see whether it would hold up to a fat bloke falling down regularly.

I have far too many questions, and at the moment, I can see the negatives outweighing the positives, green seats being the least of my worries!!

I also feel the way that his has been sprung on us says a lot.

Another worthwhile post from our expert in football and economics.

Surely we are going in the opposite direction as we are investing in capital and thus gaining assets rather than selling them off???

I would quite happily sit in a green seat if it meant the financial future of the club was secure, personally I think the walkers has little atmosphere and feel to it anyway. As someone else said it is just a re-make of the Southampton ground!

TBH I couldn't care less what colour seat I sit on when I'm at a match, does it really matter?

39445[/snapback]

When for the first time in 120 years LCFC don't have their own home because its been re-branded or watered down, it will matter to me and a lot of other people.

On our present course we can own the ground for LCFC alone one day! If we go for this quick fix we will never own our ground...Tigers will ALWAYS own half. Whilst I have gone to watch Leicester we have always had a home, renting or not...this way we just sell our future.

Well I'm one fan that won't be re-branded!

if it really bothers you and others what colour seat you are on then shame on you. What should it care as long as our beloved Leicester pick up points on a weekly basis

No one has said they are going to make the seats green! if they did it would be half and half so you will have too opions 1) seat in the blue half! and 2) bring a blue seat to cover the green seat

It bothers me that we will NEVER have our own home ground because Tigers will always own half. It bothers me that the club have gone for this quick fix, when if we continue as we are we would one day have OUR stadium to OURSELVES.

It bothers me that we are being 're-branded', the club fobbed us off with their little 120 years of LCFC crap, and now sell of our future and re-brand it. You can say its a positive thing if you like, but one day it could have been just for LCFC, and instead for the first time in 120 years we won't have our own ground EVER AGAIN!

With one hand the club promotes our pround history in their 120 year celebrations...whatever we have gone through we have survived!

With the other hand they dismantle and re-brand our home!

LCFC win lose or draw is LCFC, 3 points or not! You can have your watered down version if you want. I would never sell my soul for 3 points...patience and we can do it on our own, not rebrand all that is good about City. It spaarks the end of 120 years of independence and identity of this club!

If they want to do that I don't have a problem, but what is happening is that they are changing our ground inside and out. The sense of identity when you walk into the stadium and you know you are at LCFC will be lost and diluted to a more suitable generic, both sets of fans friendly stadium!

When I go to look at the brick of a loved one lost who really believed in Leicester city and died proud to be a Leicester fan it makes me feel sick, and sad that all of that will be lost...this way it can NEVER be our home. We must be careful of what we sow today, because in the long term we will never reap the benefits. We will NEVER have OUR home.

It was fun being at uni and sharing a house...but in the end nothing beats coming home, nothing beats that!

If you want to be rebranded and forget all that Leicester stands for (and yes a significant part is our home, it is after all where we play the game) fine...but I won't be rebranded!

This has been a good argument because we haven't had to resort to name calling...but I'm afraid yes mate, it will be that bad...you might not regret it now, but trust me you will. One day you'll think back to when we had an individual and important identity...but then it will be too late because the corporate steamroller will have levelled everything you and I believe in

NOW WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE...BUT ONLY IF WE ALL WANT IT BADLY ENOUGH!

no you cant.

Whats cool about you is that we have actually discovered an experiment in artificial stupidity...keep up the good work

Well done Silver and Scarby.

A proper discussion with no insults, it's what we should be about.

And as for Wigan Boy, he's starting to learn what soul and passion are all about. It's something that takes a lot more than 26 years in the football league to get my friend. Yes you're flying high now but so were Wimbledon 10 years ago.

Teams might take points from us but they'll never take our soul.

You've got to know what it is to understand it.

Im not really sure where I stand on the groundshare. I can understand why people are worried about losing our identity. But I'm beginning to believe that this isn't as important. It's not like we've lost Leicester City completely. With the tigers there it becomes a Leicester ground and we are all supporting Leicester as a city. I would feel proud to have the best rugby club team in Europe play at the best stadium in Leicester.

Losing your home is almost as bad as losing the whole thing. Why did we fight and give of our time and money to get through administration and preserve our identity, just to chuck it all away now!

Its lunacy, and I can't believe so many people want to support this...its consumerism at its greatest.

Please fight for this, otherwise something important will be lost and one day when you want it back it will be too late to complain.

Find your voice! Please. :(
