SydneyFC Posted 3 August 2006 Author Posted 3 August 2006 I can imagine how many footy boots Mr Ferguson was chucking when you got to Weso before them.
Ultra Posted 3 August 2006 Posted 3 August 2006 Sounds like a pretty mediocre keeper. Have you guys seen Zeljiko Kalacs mistake in the world cup that nearly cost us dear? Dunno what they were thinking taking off Schwarzer. Yep, we saw it. The same old Spider we used to now and love!
aussie-fox Posted 3 August 2006 Posted 3 August 2006 what channel is showing championship highlights in aus?
Stuliasz Posted 4 August 2006 Posted 4 August 2006 Funny - when I went over there none of the footy mad people I spoke to had heard of Weso at all. Makes me laugh how the fact that Stan Lazaridis has signed for Perth was major sports headline news though I wonder if it will be the same when Tiatto goes back...

No disrespect to Perth Glory or the A league in general, but bringing back the likes of Lazardisi is about their level. It will take a few more years and a lot more money to keep hold of the rising stars and lure back less "over the hill" pros.
SydneyFC Posted 4 August 2006 Author Posted 4 August 2006 I'm real bad at quoting but aussie fox, Fox Sports are showing the championship this year. Used to be ESPN.

True but I have to say how noticed how passionate so many of the people our age our about "soccer" now. I think the world cup has really done wonders for them though unfortunately I doubt the A-League will ever take off because of the remoteness of the country. They love English football over there though, I mean I spoke to one guy who even knew about Heskey giving us money in administration which I was amazed about and had almost forgotten myself!
SydneyFC Posted 4 August 2006 Author Posted 4 August 2006 You never know what'll happen here, WA will probably cecede like it wanted to in 1901 and we could have the same style as the old NSL making Vidukas and Brescianos every season.
