Shum Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 So am i. You get the feeling we wont be seeing Beckham ever again... Sven was too scared to drop him - Well done Steve Mclaren!
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 Paul Robinson Ben Foster Chris Kirkland Gary Neville Rio Ferdinand John Terry Ashley Cole Wayne Bridge Michael Dawson Luke Young Wes Brown Jamie Carragher Phil Neville Frank Lampard Steven Gerrard Stuart Downing Owen Hargreaves Jermaine Jenas Aaron Lennon Shaun Wright-Phillips Keiron Richardson Dean Ashton Darren Bent Peter Crouch Jermaine Defor Intresting. Well some of them are some of the are plain stupid ( Jenas, Dawson, Richardson fo example ) Still think he's going to balls this job up proper big styley
Parsons Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 Mclaren is already a legend in my eyes for droping Beckham even when Beckham has been in form i have never liked him
Parsons Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 But i bet Beckham will be picked again for when we play our first qualifiyer
Dr The Singh Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 Some intresting chioces, his success all depends on team selection and tactics and most of all whether he can motivate the team and get the team to play to it's potential!!!!
lookwhaticando Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 Intresting. Well some of them are some of the are plain stupid ( Jenas, Dawson, Richardson fo example ) Still think he's going to balls this job up proper big styley I think Ashton might be reaosnably handy at international level. As for Jenas... clearly McClaren had a hand in getting him in the previous squads. Two different managers wouldn't make the same idiotic mistake. Downing - who knows, he might prove a useful sub, but not a starter. I'd have him ahead of Richardson. Richardson has no place in the team though. He's left footed, yeah, but he's not much use. The biggest blunder SMC has made so far is the inclusion of PHIL NEVILLE! WTF! Moron! Chris Kirkland is a crock. Always has been, probably always will be. Ben Foster = England No. 2. Wayne Bridge I'm undecided. He won't trouble A Cole for a starting spot. His inclusion isn't a surprise at all. Michael Dawson is a decent enough CB. Wether he's international quality is anyone's guess. He probably wont get a look-in any time soon with the favoured Terry/Ferdinand pair available, and Wes Brown used before at this level. Shame really, not so keen on Wes Brown. On the bright side... Campbell dropped. Calamity James dropped.
OBO Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 I think Ashton might be reaosnably handy at international level. I agree. Hope he does a good job should he get his chance.

lookwhaticando Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 Hang your head. I didnt even notice Phil Neville tbh. Yes that is beyond shocking. When I've seen him play for Tottenarse, he's looked capable enough. As I said, no judgement on his ability at international level, yet. Maybe I just dont watch enough world class central defenders.
Leicester Lass Posted 11 August 2006 Posted 11 August 2006 But i bet Beckham will be picked again for when we play our first qualifiyer He might well be, after all this game is only a friendly so why pick players that we already know everything about?
