Nebdingo Posted 17 August 2006 Share Posted 17 August 2006 Coventry are likely to be without defensive duo Adam Virgo and David McNamee when Midlands rivals Leicester visit the Ricoh Arena on Friday Virgo, on a season-loan from Scottish Premier League champions Celtic, suffered a partial rupture of his anterior ligament against Cardiff last week, while McNamee sustained a slight hamstring tear in the 1-0 defeat at Ninian Park. The injuries are not as bad as first feared but both are expected to miss the Foxes clash. Midfielder Jay Tabb is doubtful after an abdominal strain forced him to return early from Republic of Ireland under-21 duty. Centre-back Robert Page (back) remains sidelined along with fellow defenders Stuart Giddings (hamstring) and Mikkel Bischoff and striker Wayne Andrews (both ankle). Gary McSheffrey joined Championship rivals Birmingham in a £4million deal and fellow striker Andy Morrell completed a free switch to Blackpool earlier this week.
