Did they change the recipie? I did read the posts, but i didn't read them all properly. You should be ashamed of yourself. :pinch:
Katy Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 With Sainsburys own brand Jaffas you can peel the chocolate off no worries but with original Jaffs the chocolate is quite stubbon which doesnt impress me.

Scow Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Irrespective of the cake/biscuit debate, they should be made with Milk Chocolate and not Dark Chocolate.
Northants Fox Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Irrespective of the cake/biscuit debate, they should be made with Milk Chocolate and not Dark Chocolate. I may be wrong about this, but i'm sure i saw a Milk Chocolate version about 2 or 3 Years ago and that was here in Northampton so i don't know about anywhere else.

cisono Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Irrespective of the cake/biscuit debate, they should be made with Milk Chocolate and not Dark Chocolate. No way man!!! That would be a sin!
cisono Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Only if we can keep the lemon and lime flavour. Sorry, I'm weak. No problem, we can do that
lookwhaticando Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 No way man!!! That would be a sin! You and your flippin' dark chocolate. I know dark chocolate is good, but let's not discriminate against milk chocolate here
cisono Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 I know dark chocolate is good, but let's not discriminate against milk chocolate here I don't mind if they do the odd version with milk choc. But jaffa cakes are dark choc... I am sure TPH would support me on this point

Let's get one thing clear though -I'm not advocating the abolition of the original Jaffa's, just an option for those who might prefer milk chocolate. That's a huge market been overlooked.

Let's get one thing clear though -I'm not advocating the abolition of the original Jaffa's, just an option for those who might prefer milk chocolate. That's a huge market been overlooked. That's not the only market being overlooked! Jaffa cakes also appeal to sports people and food conscious people. With their very low fat content and hence less likelihood of them containing hydrogenated fat-like nasties, plus their sugar content, Jaffa cakes are often used by athletes/exercisers as a quick energy snack. However, by using dodgy cheap sweetening options (as opposed to old plain sugar) Jaffa cakes manufacturers are risking losing this market! * Jaffa cakes manufacturers please note * PS: I am available as jaffa cake consultant

I've got nothing against Northampton. I lived in Northants for about 3 years, I went to Northampton quite often. I even went drinking in Northampton, twice, when I came back to England in early June to visit friends/family.

Northants Fox Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Northampton - the world leader in quality chocolate cake/biscuit products And weetabix As everybody knows Northampton should be well known for making shoes But for now the town seems to be trying to increase the number of the Population, judging by the number of teens with Babies I've also lost count of the number of Poles, Kosovans and Romaians that seem to be here, i'm living in a flat almost in the town centre and almost opposite me is a Polish Deli Anyway back to Jaffas i've seen triple variety packs, with Orange Raspberry and lime flavour

billabob Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Preggers teens is a problem that blights the whole country, not just a few towns. yea, sorry about that
Northants Fox Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Preggers teens is a problem that blights the whole country, not just a few towns. Very true, but the trouble with this town is they are starting to consider themselfs as a City, a status they''ll never get. Almost ever bit of green belt here has Houses sprouting on them and they're even Building on the Flood Plains

Seems the solution to the problem is to lock billabob up, he proclaims to be the one-man baby-maker.
