Jonbluefox9 Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 The question's in the title. Any help would be much appreciated. The information I've found on the internet, so far, is too in-depth. I just need a simple explanation if possible.
Suffolk_fox Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 During the cold war, British Agents received their instructions and new equipment in many different ways. One was by supposedly innocent items of every day use, such as cakes. The devious Russkies set up a special branch of Spetznaz and KGB agents to intercept these deliveries, hence the name. Honest. Do not be fooled into believing it is something which stops the likes of flour 'caking' together.
Daggers Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 Have a read of this and PM me with anything you don't get...err, as long as you do it in the next 5 - 10 minutes

davieG Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 They sound a bit chemical to me, have they got a Licence to Kill?
Jonbluefox9 Posted 21 September 2006 Author Posted 21 September 2006 Cheers for the help. I sort of understood that article on the cheese but might have to read through it again to fully understand. It mentionned Cellulose which I'm doing about so I think that's the anti-cake I'm looking for although that video would be good to use when presenting to the class for comedy value.

Jonbluefox9 Posted 21 September 2006 Author Posted 21 September 2006 Multiple hydroxyls = rigidity I don't think I've done any work on hydroxyls so far. I know Cellulose is rigid because it's used to give plant cells structure as the cell wall but don't know much about it's make-up. Only learnt today about it being made up of beta-glucose molecules but this involves flipping of one of the beta-glucose molecules? Not sure if that's right. AS Biology has gone straight over my head so far.

Drop it and take up a proper science instead...they only throw in Bio-chem to water down the amount of time you all spend looking at animals having sex. Pendulums and electrical circuits, that's where it's at

You can imagine my disappointment when I found out the first module is all about carbohydrates etc.
