cisono Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I swear I edited the post becuase I realised my error. However its besides the point. hehe ok. Can't really think of anyone I'd like to invite right now... and it really does depend on where this dinner party was going to be. Couldn't really have any celebs round mine!!!
Thracian Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 If you were to have a dinner party and you could invite any celebrity you wanted who would it be?? I would choose from: Julia Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Caine, Will smith, David Attenborough, The Princess (you won't know her), Elizabeth Hurley, Jemima Khan, the ghosts of Bill Shankly and George Best, Robin Williams, Liv Tyler and to make sure we have some musical entertainment, Whitney Houston, Richard Clayderman and Enya.
cisono Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Just one or a table full? I think a table full of celebrities would be more interesting ....
Thracian Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I nearly asked if we could have a table full. And I've started to set mine out!
cisono Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I nearly asked if we could have a table full. And I've started to set mine out! Cool... it is also interesting how you'd seat them around a table...
Thracian Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I've chosen so many experienced actors and actresses because they have been to so many places, met so many people, read so many scripts about different subjects and have so many anecdotes to relate. I tried to pick people who are either verbally funny, expressively amusing, easy company, extraordinarily interesting, and to help the flow easy on the eye.

Yes Yes Yes Some top choices in there, Thracian. If I said MON, people would think I'm just a nutcase, so I said nothing. As for 'Celebrities' I think the likes of Rowan Atkinson or a John Cleese would be quite suitable guests. My guest list would be sorta low-key, I guess... Not so keen on the big flashy Hollywood types myself. Especially the ones who didn't actually done anything to get there (who the f/ck is Paris Hilton anyway?)
lookwhaticando Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Where are they seated... or don't you have a preference? He'd have Roberts and Hurley on his lap And who can blame him?
Thracian Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 He'd have Roberts and Hurley on his lap And who can blame him? I have to confess I might find the female company quite appealing - and I didn't just put Whitney down for her singing.
lookwhaticando Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I have to confess I might find the female company quite appealing - and I didn't just put Whitney down for her singing. I'm toying with the idea of making a hot or not poll for one of Roberts or Hurley - just for you Thrac. And for everyone else who reckons girls could do with a bit of meat on them.

Apart from being a wonderfully talented actress, Julia's wholesomely good looking with a terrifically sensual mouth, and is reputedly completly unaffected and thoroughly good and easy company to work with. My son's fiance says that she's regularly seen ambling cheerfully around the supermarket and has a word or two for anyone.

Liv Tyler is a bit of a fantasy - one for Lookwhat's hot or not votes - but it really would be hard to choose. Might depend on the state Whitney's in these days....

Unless that's someone completely different, like Oprah... it's so easy to mix these people up. :pinch: I wouldn't say no to a last dance with Liv Tyler... 'cept I can't dance.

The Princess would teach you - and from that moment onwards you would think that dancing was the most erotic experience on earth!

lookwhaticando Posted 26 September 2006 Posted 26 September 2006 errrrm good question. Kirsty gallacher for her rack . Frank skinner for a laugh and maybe naked models as the waitresses :pinch: No that just can't be. Health and Safety I'm afraid. What if they spill the gravy? Dangerous!
Thracian Posted 26 September 2006 Posted 26 September 2006 And I am guessing that Georgie Best would be for a few whiskies afterwards? And some amusing anecdotes and the surprise/surprise of who he brought with him!
Daggers Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 The wine is chilled in the fridge, the pigs head taking centre-place on the table. The door bell rings... "Why come in" you say "we have been expecting you" Alive or dead - who'd you be getting around to your gaff for a knees-up? I'm going for: Gabriel Garcia Marquez 'El Che' Guevara Jonathan Porrit Dennis Skinner Boris Ghandi Eric Morcambe Tommy Cooper Penn and Teller Joe Strummer Tycho Brahe Mary Magdalene
