Filbert_Ross Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 thats the kind of thing we come out with though, like when we went to west brom and had one shot, and Henderson was man of the match and we go harping on about ' Injustice of the scoreline'
reynard Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 But seriously? 7 minutes? There could have surely only been maximum of 5.... As for George Burley's comments, whatever happened in the game is past and he can't moan about it. Luck swings and roundabouts in football.... That's the game for you 7 minutes was not generous. The injuries to to the 2 mcs went on for over 3 minutes. there was an injury to their player who was subbed which took at least 2 minutes. there were 4 or 5 substitutions for which the ref has to allow 30 seconds each. then with other niggles and time wasting etc he could easily have notched up 9 min.
Guest Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 Seems he forgot the blatant pen that we should have had in the first half when a saints defender was all over Elvis! Quite. Plymouth had a penalty for less (albeit justifiably so, I hasten to add).
lcfc_jme Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 I thought we deserved the win. However, it hardly matters whether we deserved it or not, the 3 points are in the bag and we move on. Exactly. The performance won't matter come the end of the season - the points will. We've won and taken 3 points, we need to build on this and aim to extend the winning streak
