Joe. Posted 19 October 2006 Posted 19 October 2006 Surely too good an offer to reject? I wish we had 1 million to buy a player with! How can a league two team afford to buy a player for 1 million quid? Although McLeod is a very good player at that level, I think the MK Dons have made a bit of a rash decision by letting slip £1,000,000
Head Honcho Posted 19 October 2006 Posted 19 October 2006 He's good but I doubt he's that good! Worth £300k tops imo. Still got a lot to prove and I doubt he'll improve that much at Posh
Joe. Posted 19 October 2006 Author Posted 19 October 2006 Well he's not going there anyway... I predict that he will be playing in the championship in the not too distant future. Somebody's bound to snap him up.
lildave3 Posted 19 October 2006 Posted 19 October 2006 How can a league two team afford to buy a player for 1 million quid? They're new chairman is a 'business tycoon'
Filbert_Ross Posted 19 October 2006 Posted 19 October 2006 He's good but I doubt he's that good! Worth £300k tops imo. Still got a lot to prove and I doubt he'll improve that much at Posh well according to some Stearman's worth £3million so maybe Mcleod is worth a million
lildave3 Posted 19 October 2006 Posted 19 October 2006 Why buy Peterborugh? He watched 'Big Ron manager' on sky and said he thought it looked like a club with ambition and he believes he can take them to the prem in 5 years.
Ultra Posted 19 October 2006 Posted 19 October 2006 Well he's not going there anyway... I predict that he will be playing in the championship in the not too distant future. Somebody's bound to snap him up. But he didn't exactly set this league alight while he was at Derby..
Thracian Posted 21 October 2006 Posted 21 October 2006 Why buy Peterborugh? It's so flat in fenland your career - like yours cars - last longer. Also there's so little competition for your place because hardly anyone's heard of Peterborough and they don't want to live there cos the tide's coming in and there aren't any hills between you and the coast!
dandannieldanok Posted 21 October 2006 Posted 21 October 2006 They havent got £1million in there back pockets. The deal was to pay installments over 3/4 years so at best they would have about £400k a year to spend.
