Impey and Rogers

Recommended Posts

I've been reading some posts from Forest supporters on another forum, and surprise surprise, they don't rate Impey and Rogers now. I remember last season when they were raving about them, claiming that the comedy duo were one of the main reasons why they stayed up.

Impey's been getting some abuse this season, he gave away a penalty at Derby by handballing. Not surprising given how he was known for using his hands in he area when he played for us.

I think we could get some joy down the wings on Friday, Gilespie should give Rogers the run around, and Tiatto (If available) should be able to rip in to Impey. :D

Allthough I don't like the Idea this might be a good game to revert to Adams idea of playing strikers on the wings to win the aerial battle there.

They are both poor players and I can't wait to rip into them.

Don't want to bring them back mate, but we'll need to take advantages of their weaknesses.

Agreed Petrescu - we needn't hoof it up towards Impey and Rogers - our wingers can't head and if we hoof it to Scowy he'll misdirect his headers and we'll lose the ball ;)

Besides, Impey and Rogers are shocking enough without the need to resort to hoofball. We should skin them anyway!

No-one raved about either Impey or Rogers, but they did have an impact last season. They improved things because they filled in two gaping holes in the squad, not because of any intrinsic quality. Bringing in Impey allowed us to play 4-4-2 and provided natural balance that we'd lacked. Rogers was predictably crap last season, but he was the lesser of two evils as he replaced the most out-of-his-depth player I've ever seen.

To be fair, Impey was reasonable (if somewhat uninspiring) on loan last season when he was playing for a contract. This season he's been an utter disgrace - completely disinterested as well as being inept and a liability.

They were decent stopgaps for last season and served a purpose. Kinnear's mistake was to think that, because we'd had a good run at the end of the season, he had to keep that squad together - there would have been far better options than wasting two wages on that pair.

Totally agree, Rogers a Impey are both shite & no Forest fan bragged about them, no Forest fan said that they were a major part in us staying up so cut the bullshit Scowy!

Oh yes they did. Last season they were a major part in you staying up according to a number of Forest fans, but you don't want to admit how silly you sound now. :)
