Wellman Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 Right then people, quite straight forward and simple. Who do you think Englands player of the year is? VOTE HERE... Dont just put walker for the sake of it
Scow Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 No doubt Rooney will win it, but I think Ashley Cole has been outstanding.
emmalcfc Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 I put Ashley Cole, and if Beckham or Rooney win I may do something drastic
Anish Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 Ashley Cole has got my vote too - exceptional performances this year both defensively and attacking-wise. Not let the team down at all and has proven what a quality left back he is.
Wellman Posted 24 December 2004 Author Posted 24 December 2004 Rooney got mine , for all his efforts in Euro 2004.
Benji Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 not looked at the link is this english player or best player for the international team? for the team i thought gary neville deserves a mention for his performances (although he was a di5k off the field) but best english player for me has to be Lampard, improved so much and a truely great player

But come on, how many 18 year olds have done that well in a tournament of any stature? Not many
dan_84 Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 i went Portugal and for me it has to be Ashley Cole or Gary Neville. both were like rocks. No doubt Rooney and Gerrard have been superb, but iv always been critical of cole and neville but i think this year they have been brilliant
Guest Daniel Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 Rooney wouldn't even be in my top 5. Ashley Cole Steven Gerrard Frank Lampard Sol Campbell David Beckham
Wellman Posted 24 December 2004 Author Posted 24 December 2004 Rooney wouldn't even be in my top 5.Ashley Cole Steven Gerrard Frank Lampard Sol Campbell David Beckham 49359 plus he supports scotland
Oli Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 I support Scotland as well, but that dont mean I can't vote does it?
Guest Daniel Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 Yeah, but i watch all the england games. Good excuse to get hammered.

MON Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 I picked Ian walker! Englands number one. I would have seriously picked Lampard. Was superb at the Euro cup.
Guest Daniel Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 I picked Ian walker! Englands number one.I would have seriously picked Lampard. Was superb at the Euro cup. 49375 There's always one.
dan_84 Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 Beckham is crap. anyone else would have been dropped if they showed the form he has. Wright-Phillips should get a chance, as should stuart Downing on the left. Neville is the only England player who looks proud to play for his country and the only one who really wears his heart on his sleeve. My England Team Robinson Cole Campbell Ferdinand Neville (CPT) Downing Gerrard Lampard Wright-Philips Rooney Defoe Subs Owen Terry J Cole King Kirkland
Wellman Posted 25 December 2004 Author Posted 25 December 2004 What so you don't see passion from the likes of Gerrard and Lampard?
Craig Posted 25 December 2004 Posted 25 December 2004 Neville is a disgusting poor excuse of a professional footballer. The squads ringleader, we don't need players like that in our game.
dan_84 Posted 25 December 2004 Posted 25 December 2004 you mean he sticks up for his team mates and speaks his mind. at least he aint up the managers and FA's arse like Beckham is. Not denying people show passion playing for England. what im saying is if you watch Neville like I did in Portugal you really can tell how much he wants to win and for others to do well, whereas Beckham, if he has a crap game he tends to hide, and not help others
