Craig Posted 25 December 2004 Posted 25 December 2004 you mean he sticks up for his team mates and speaks his mind. at least he aint up the managers and FA's arse like Beckham is. Not denying people show passion playing for England. what im saying is if you watch Neville like I did in Portugal you really can tell how much he wants to win and for others to do well, whereas Beckham, if he has a crap game he tends to hide, and not help others 49417[/snapback] So Beckham hid when he missed that penalty?

The France one or the Portugal one?! Beckham has been poor this year, and his Euro 2004 performances were a disgrace. His penalties have been simply awful too - he couldn't exactly hide after it could he? But he blamed the turf and that was pathetic.

Yes, all the other players managed to control theirs, but Beckhams style of striking the ball (that has saved us so many times) meant that it was nearimpossible for him to strike it cleanly. And yes he's been awful, but i think you'll find he still showed plenty of passion, as did most of the other players.
Tomassi Posted 25 December 2004 Posted 25 December 2004 looks like a beckham fan eh.. well anyway me being 1/4 italian does it mean i cant vote?
MON Posted 25 December 2004 Posted 25 December 2004 Beckam was abysmal but he was still trying. The person that tried the most and had the most passion was for me Ashley Cole. He has been outstanding. As well as Lampard. The biggest letdown was Sven himself IMO.
