Thracian Posted 12 December 2006 Posted 12 December 2006 I read somewhere the other day that in one Force's senior police officers were the worst speeding offenders travelling at sickening speeds over the limit and not one had been prosecuted because every one claimed it was necessary to do their job. It's rather like the 10 years plus it is taking to sort the Princess of Wales inquiry with all the tomfoolery which so clearly surrounds that lot... The law clearly depends on who you are not what you've done in so many cases. And one thing's certain in the UK and beyond, the Establishment - call them the Freemasons if you like - ensure their own are pretty effectively protected. What an organisation. I've nothing but admiration for the concept because they stand four-square in defence of their own in every walk of life. But it really takes the piss out of the concept of justice and the average Joe Soap having his knuckles wrapped for some minor offence or daring to drive at 36mph in a 30 limit.. Pity there's no-one like the masons looking out for Joe Soap now I come to think of it.
