Yaxley of the Eagle Bitter UCL Championship! :ermm:

YAXLEY boss Jim Watson has pepped up his Eagle Bitter UCL Championship chase by signing a former Manchester United and Leicester City starlet.

He reacted to his side conceding four goals at Desborough last Monday by signing striker Dominic Pearmain who was released by the Foxes in the summer.

While at the Walkers Stadium, Pearmain, who used to be known as Dominic Henson, was a regular in the reserves last season.

And he arrives at Leading Drove hot on the heels of former Posh marksman Dale Watkins, who signed from Stamford last week.

Pearmain (20) is from Wittering and was a prolific scorer with Bushfield Park in the Peterborough Junior Alliance as a youngster.

It was there that he caught the eye of Premiership giants Manchester United who signed him as a schoolboy and he was picked up by the Foxes when he failed to make the grade at Old Trafford.

For anyone who's interested, never rated him myself ;)

He's going to trawl through lower leagues/non league for a few years I reckon, like so many other ex-LCFC academy boys.

Another one of our youngsters that's now plying his trade in a virtually unknown league.:rolleyes:

The fact that well over half of all the youngsters that we've relesed over the years aren't playing for a club that's higher than us or even league football proves that we made the right decision in letting them go. It probably also shows that it's very unlikely that many of this current crop will result in anything special either and the two or three that have been singled out by Levein are the most likely to be good enough to make the grade. That's why what Levein is trying to do here will take time as you don't usually get more than two very talented players from each crop that are brought through. Patience will be needed.
