Time for a Takeover Saga at Wolves?

sorry but no way are wolves more valuable than Leicester, I'm not trying to be biased but just look at average attendances, last 10 years history, stadium and youth set up.

Hope this deal does get done souness will ruin them. what clue has he got??

Souness will be the front man for a syndicate- giving the bid "credibility".

Surely the odd thing here is Souness saying he offered the asking price (Hayward was touting the club to MM at £20 mill) and Jez (would I lie to you) Moxey saying no bid has been received. Hardly a matter of opinion you would think and so someone has to be telling lies

Well said, I can't believe that some people honestly think that Wolves are bigger than us.:rolleyes:

If it's history they're talking about, well they had a good spell during the 50's but that's about it. They have spent just one season out of the last 23 in the top division , and during that time they spent two seasons in Division Four.

Also, if Wolves are bigger than us, why has Milan chosen us over them when they were offered to him for about the same price?

Both the club and the potential are bigger at Leicester. But for the perception to remain - even among some Leicester fans - that Wolves are bigger reflects the need for us to increase our profile dramatically.

Leicester is a major City in this country, eight biggest compared with Wolverhampton's 13th.

We don't have anything like the competition for fans that Wolves have and I am quite sure Mandaric has realised that - even if some others have not.

The only thing Wolves have got is memories - and most of their fans won't even have those cos their glory days were so long ago even I can only just remember them.

How many modern fans have heard of Stan Cullis, Billy Wright or Peter Broadbent, much less seen them. Yes the had the odd hero afterwards, Steve Bull and John Richards spring to mind, but when you really look at Wolves it's like viewing a collection of vintage Lesneys from the 50's.

And since that time Wolves have been rather like so many of those old Lesney's - they've gradually become lost and forgotten by all except a few faithful fans and the Express and Star librarian.

This has backfired on Wolves a bit hasnt it.

Didn't the current owner of Wolves drop the price of the club to £20m to tempt Mandaric away from buying us?

Now hes got a clown on his hands with the cash to match his asking price

Don't kid yourselves boy's

It's ok looking at life through blue tinted specs but I think you'll find that Wolves are just as big a club if not a bigger club then Leicester, they are certainly worth more then us!

I doubt you've even been to Wolverhampton never mind Molineux because if you had you'd know how good a stadium it is and lauded often by away fans up and down the country.

Go on then, Allen, explain to me why exactly it is that Wolves are bigger than us.
