cisono Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 Looks like the starter of this thread is eithert dillusional or has self esteem issues...(look it up if you don't "get it" matey) It depends on how you read things... PS: what would we need to look up? We are all NAGTY standard
DB11 Posted 21 January 2007 Author Posted 21 January 2007 Looks like the starter of this thread is eithert dillusional or has self esteem issues...(look it up if you don't "get it" matey) Why am I?
JoeyB Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 Is anybody involved in the National Academy for the Gifted and Talented Youth? Also known as NAGTY. I am just wondering because I am gifted and talanted at being a showoff by anychance?
Janx Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 Why am I? because... a) you believe yourself to be gifted, yet cannot comprehend simple English and a very obvious joke. b) you have brought attention to this NAGTY and your alleged involvement in 3 different threads. Therefore, you are either 1) Dillusional for the reasons in point a) or Need the attention and re-affirmation in point b) OK?
DB11 Posted 21 January 2007 Author Posted 21 January 2007 No not really You're just flaming me for no apparent reason.

A lot of 13 year olds don't understand simple jokes. I should know. My sister is supposed to be intelligent yet she seems to be one of the stupidest people on the planet. But to be fair, you really should get that boys scout joke Dannboy. Gifted and talented must be easy to get into.

At 13 he should no better and if he doesnt then its a good lesson learnt isnt it! He IS supposed to be gifted!! By the way.... I WAS joking to begin with
DB11 Posted 21 January 2007 Author Posted 21 January 2007 I get the brownie joke now. As in brownies is the girls version of scouts It still isn't funny though

Guest Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 I could set up my own gifted and talented society Alternatively, I am already good at NAGGING (sounds a bit like NAGTY) Generally women are... we are not born that way, but often have to acquire this skill over time... Men have selective hearing, hence we feel we have a better chance if we repeat things at least five times and even then they are sometimes not heard ("you never told me that") I find that if mena) did what they were told and b) did what they were told correctly then the nagging would be less of an issue.
Joe. Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 I find that if men a) did what they were told and b) did what they were told correctly then the nagging would be less of an issue. But men like women up! It's all part of the fun

I WAS joking to begin with I know it was contardicting but I realised halfway throuh writing the post how funny it was that he didn't get that joke....
cisono Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 I find that if men a) did what they were told and b) did what they were told correctly then the nagging would be less of an issue. Indeed... it would hardly be needed
Leonisco Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Ah yes, I was forcefully signed up to this by nagging teachers and pushy parents (well mother, I don't really think my dad's arsed ). Basically sent off my application form, got accepted and haven't heard anything since. Seems pretty pointless to me. gifted and talanted at being a showoff by anychance? Gifted and talented at spelling by any chance? (Not the gap in between "any" and "chance" )

Janx Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Gifted and talented at grammar by any chance? you are NOT one to be throwing stones in here mateyboy1
Leonisco Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Gifted and talented at grammar by any chance? Just wondering, Danny Boy, why did you have to edit that post?
DB11 Posted 22 January 2007 Author Posted 22 January 2007 To un bold the word "talented" in the quoted post.
Flynny Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 All this pedantry is ridiculous. The 13 year old is gonna lose whether he's Hawking Jr. or not, because he's thirteen. But yeah, at the same time, this does reek of a 'look at me!' thread.
DB11 Posted 22 January 2007 Author Posted 22 January 2007 Oh well, my main intentions were to see if there were any other users on this forum involved. There are courses which you can go on etc. as well as the NAGTY forums so I was just wondering. Sorry for having an idea.
