New players, New Team?

Recommended Posts

The current team, as we know, is not good enough. But I think the signings that RK has made could change the clubs fortunes. We all know promotion and even a top half finish are out of the question. But the sort of revival of last year could be repeated. We’ve got what we always hoped for a right winger (two right wingers!) On the left, Levi Porter, a good player to take on defences. Strikers, Iain Hume and Geoff Horsfield, who are good goal scorers. And although its been rusty of late, the defence at times has a very strong point of the team.

Our Strongest Team

--------------------------------Henderson---------------------------------

Maybury---------Kisnorbo--------------McAuley--------Johansson

Yeates------------Wesolowski----------------Tiatto-------------Porter

-------------------------Hume----------Horsfield-------------------------

With Fryatt, Cadamartari, McCarthy, and Logan on the bench, the team could progress.

It might just be me in a good but or even delusional but I really don’t think the team will be anywhere near the relagation places by the end of the year and could be nearer to the top half. (around 14th)

:scarf: lets hope im not being delusional :scarf:

That's a pretty good post, I must say.

However, can't see Hume up front. I would put him in an attacking midfield position, where he's much more effective (he can play good passes, imo).

Fryatt up front together with Horsfield (youth and experience, one shooter and one header specialist) could be a wonderful pair.

I see Cadamarteri as a sub for either one or as an addition for lucky punches (4-4-2 to 4-3-3).

You've missed out Super Stevie Hughes and Captain McCarthy

I think you will find that RK will go for Andy Johnson and Tiatto in central midfield. Even tough we know a better midfield would probably mean putting Hughes in somewhere.

I like your enthusiasm mate but I`d like to see what we have bought in before I make crazy predictions!

Hughes cm in my opinion in place of either tiatto or weso.

Hughesy has a bit of creativity whic weso and tiatto may lack but they both make up for in bite. Hughes has also been one of our better players in the last few games.

Another point Maybury has been terrible lately, I know hes been playing left back but surely Stearman or even Kenton are better options on the right. why Nisse hasn't been plaing lately I have no idea.

ok i didnt go to the cardiff game so cannot comment on his performance there. but i do however feel ur bring harsh on maybury i dont think he has been doing that badly and as a fan who really doesnt like him its hard for me to say i think he has done well.

he just gets messed up when we concede he starts getting to negative.

i do think the signings may make an impact but i`m not sure they are going to make that much difference i do hope i`m wrong though.

would like to see logan come back into goal aswell, my dad was telling me how dreadful hendo was against cardiff.
