lookwhaticando Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 have boats actually sank? or is it just a HUGE Myth? Famous incidents @ Devil's Triangle.
Daggers Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 The triangle has often been used in construction as symbolic of the Holy Trinity, for example ~ The Triangular Lodge at Rushton...designed by Sir Thomas Tresham.
lookwhaticando Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 i thought it had all been explained by scientists as methane gas escaping from the sea bed causing all the problems. Methane Hydrates, indeed. In short, the methane hydrates make the water much less dense (the water is described as frothy/bubbly when additional methane hydrates are present) - and therefore far less able to provide buoyancy for a large vessel. Basic laws of physics in that respect.
