Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Craig's gonna have a heart attack when he sees this thinking the album's been leaked. Putting in for the Birmingham gig. Oh yeah and I thought you had to register by 7pm tonight??

Oh yeah and I thought you had to register by 7pm tonight?? I was sent the email only 5 minutes ago so I don't know I won't be anywhere near a computer on Saturday morning when they go on sale and there won't be any left by the evening so I'm not going to bother

I haven't had the email yet. I've gone for the Birmingham gig. Birmingham always seems to be the last date of most bands' tours to sell out.
C-man Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Havent really got the funds at the moment, although I would definitely apply if I wasn't seeing them in July.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 You've misread it Allen. If you get given a PIN then you've definitely got a ticket as long as you buy it by Monday. Worth a stab mate.
Craig Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 Ahhhhh. did this via mobile phone at 8pm. Easy. You have to be on the mailing list, or you won't be accepted for tickets anyway. As for the album, not bad, not bad.
Wils Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 Ive gone for the London gig on the Friday. Fingers crossed.

Jay Posted 17 March 2007 Posted 17 March 2007 now I don't pretend to be an Arctic Monkeys fan and infact I am far from it BUT what's the point of playing small venues and then doing this lottery sort of thing? why not play decent sized venues and enable more people to see them ( I know they are doing this in the summer) or just does this just add to a band that has been a success due to media exposure and serious over hyping? now I am the first to say that I don't like to see bands in massive arenas and would rather see them in small clubs BUT I just don't get this to be fair, if the demand is there then you should fulfill this or is it just very clever marketing?

They had good intentions at heart with the lottery, it just went wrong (other bands are trying different methods too), and they just don't like playing big venues much, it was obvious when i saw them at Brixton, Wolves and Cambridge that they weren't comfortable, Reading on a larger scale maybe. But at smaller venues like Soundhaus in Northampton and Leicester Uni, they were absolutely immense. Obviously, i wouldn't think this if i hadn't been so lucky.
