Fox in a Box Posted 24 January 2005 Posted 24 January 2005 Ok, 3months to assess the playing staff and get his ideas across. CL will have his critics for sure, not from me, he seems to have a hard egde about him, if you dont play well your off the field. He seems to know what players he wants, and wants to keep and also having the balls to say that to the boards and players alike. He is dipping his toe in the lower leagues, also checking out the up and coming talent in scotland. What CITY fans want to see are 120%ers your dickovs, savages, walshes to name few.... Maybury was man of the match for me... did no wrong... I think what we need are players with fire in there bellies..... BUT we seem to be stringing a few games together now so I think we should get behind the team and not get on there backs. IT WILL HELP
Scow Posted 24 January 2005 Posted 24 January 2005 It would help if some mindless idiots weren't signing chants like: ''Jordan Stewart, what a willy puller, what a willy puller.'' What does it achieve apart from damaging a players confidence?
SilverFox Posted 24 January 2005 Posted 24 January 2005 Agreed! Lets sing our hearts out and get behinf the team. As for criticism of CL, what does that achieve. He has had little chance to prove himself, but what I have seen is already encouraging...no more last minute sitting back and defending. On saturday we actually ended the game on a postitive attacking note. Lets be the twelth man from now on!
MADLEVEIN Posted 24 January 2005 Posted 24 January 2005 lets face we aint exactly going to get automatic promotion but nows the time for a good run and we look like we are about to do that, get past reading on saturday and that will give the players an extra lift especially if we draw a big club. nows the time to get behind the boys, aslong as we dont keep singing the names of the opposition though

breadandcheese Posted 24 January 2005 Posted 24 January 2005 I agree. It's time to support the boys again. Filbert Street used to be a castle of noise. We've still never really claimed our home since the move. Listening to Iwan is a welshman brought back the memories. He was a living legend. I used to love the Iwan is a Welshman chant. I know its old to say this, but we need some proper chants back and not the usual ones. Here's one I thought up with some mates (to the tune of Iwan is a Welshman) Kevin is a pieman, he wears his pieman's hat He fills the entire goal, and is as agile as a cat He saves them with his left hand, He saves them with his butt, but most of all he saves them with his big fat f**king gut.
