Leonisco Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 I heard that was the highest attendance recorded at Oakwell since they were in the Premiership They only came to watch us.
potter3 Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 I heard that was the highest attendance recorded at Oakwell since they were in the Premiership Surely the crowd Sunderland took there should have made it higher? They took something like 8-9K didn't they
Leonisco Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 Surely the crowd Sunderland took there should have made it higher? They took something like 8-9K didn't they Attendance was still only about 17k though. So Sunderland fans made up nearly half the crowd that day.
potter3 Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 Oh. I thought the Barnsley fans would be the same amount for both games
C-man Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 I heard that was the highest attendance recorded at Oakwell since they were in the Premiership They got 21K when Sheff Weds played them this year. But yeah, other than that its the highest.
Brainy Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 I think the fact that Barnsley fans actually went to our game, they have always had poor attendances this year. Sunderland I think took more than Barnsley did, Barnsley had a low turnout.

Sunderland I think took more than Barnsley did, Barnsley had a low turnout. And that sentence means?!? In the Barnsley - Sunderland game I think the make-up of the crowd was around 52% Barnsley and 48% Sunderland or something close to that.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 Barnsley-Sunderland was 18,000, Barnsley with 10,000 of those.
Floating Fox Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 Barnsley-Sunderland was 18,000, Barnsley with 10,000 of those. Did anyone see the Sunderland Luton game? Thousands of Mackems in the home end!
Brainy Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 Crystal Palace v Derby was funnier, with a few Mackems getting tickets to celebrate promotion when the Rams failed to win
