dynamite foxes Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 because Gudjonsson is playing poorly and Hughes is more of a hard worker and tackler than Williams.
Collymore Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Is there a need for a whole new thread for this point?
Vardinhio Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 You think Joey is playing badly?????? He's playing mint!
dynamite foxes Posted 2 February 2005 Author Posted 2 February 2005 his first touch is as hard as a shot. Yeah he wins the ball but he gives it straight away. To describe someone as 'playing mint' is somewhat err... interesting?
Scow Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Joey is too inconsistent for me. He hasn't put together a string of decent performances as of yet. He'll have one good game, two bad, another good game, an average game, etc... I would stick with Williams/Joey for now - It worked well against Reading, and they seem to be a decent partnership. One sitting deep and breaking up attacks, while the other gets forward to make things happen.
Teeno Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Bit unfair critising Joey, I think he has been class of late. Like Scowy said he can be inconsistant, but he is in form now and his partnership with GW is looking good, and brings out the best in Williams.
Ash Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Maybe go back to the 5 in midfield Gillespie - Williams - Joey - Hughes - Tiatto
Teeno Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Maybe go back to the 5 in midfieldGillespie - Williams - Joey - Hughes - Tiatto 62152 Think is though, what 3 center backs do with have? Do we leave Stewart and Maybury out of the team. I think Hughes should be given a chance but we should not mend what isn't broke. As Williams And Joey are playing well together.

Scow Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Playing Gillespie at right wing back is asking for trouble anyway.
Ash Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Playing Gillespie at right wing back is asking for trouble anyway. 62157 & Scowcroft

I would not drop Joey after his excellent display at Reading, and Williams has improved a lot recently.
