Craig Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 he Chelsea manager also criticised Blackburn's tactics in a hard-fought game.He added: "They felt they couldn't beat us playing football so they tried to beat us in a different way - direct football, first ball, second ball, being nasty and hard and trying to intimidate players. "During this afternoon it rained only in this stadium - our kitman saw it - they tried everything. There must be a microclimate here. It hadn't even rained here at all and yet the pitch was like a swimming pool. "Then you look at the blond boy in midfield, Robbie Savage, who commits 20 fouls during the game and never gets a booking. "We came here to play football and it was not a football game, it was a fight and we fought and I think we fought fantastically, with a lot of spirit, with a solid defence, with everyone fighting for the same cause." Mourinho is amazing, i love his attitude. He's arrogant, but funny at the same time. He speaks his mind and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. While i would have liked to see Arsenal win the league, it's this man that truly deserves it

Instead of moaning about Blackburns approach he should be petitioning the Premier league to sort out its finances so we end up with some degree of equality of resources,- but then Turkeys wouldn't vote for christmas would they. Mourinho , Wenger and Ferguson are like a bunch of spoilt brats, they have the world at their feet, riches we can't even dream of and success that is way beyond the reach of the rest and yet still they find someting to moan about before, during and after every game. Arrogant, that must be the understatement of the year and as for doesn't care what anyone else thinks of course they don't, who can stop them. Unless they are going to seriously restructure the finances in the Premier I for one would be glad to see the back of them.
Diego Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 Mourinho is arrogant but is a winner. He did an amazing job in Oporto and nowadays Chelsea is one of the best teams in europe. The games in the Champions League vs. Barça will be simply fantastics !!! It´s a pity they must play now because they both deserve to play the final Cheers B)

It's not their fault they have the financial resources to compete with the best in europe and the rest of thew world. Ranieri did, and he failed. Let's be honest, Mourinho hasn't exactly brought what we'd class as world world class players in has he? Sometimes it's harder to motivate a bunch of players with such high wages and over the top reputations. But he's got them fighting and playing for each other, something which many managers struggle to introudce into a side. But yeah, it'd be nice to have everyone on an equal financial base. But that won't happen, not for a long time anyway.
BartonFox Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 Mourinho has build a squad a Chelsea with vast amounts of money but the difference is he spent that money not on superstars but on players who can play to his system. I hate Chelsea with a passion and I hope to God they never win the league, but I think we should all sit back and admire what is going to happen this season. They will win all 3 domestic trophies and the European Cup as well. Madrid tried to but all the worlds 'best' players, what they have done is buy players that are of commercial value that doesn't win a league.
Steven Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 Money, which makes playing a game of football in some ways a bit pointless. <_<
