isaidno Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 Valencia will host a Grand Prix from 2008 after agreeing a deal with Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone. The race, to be called the European Grand Prix, is scheduled for late in the season on a newly-designed circuit around the Spanish port's streets. link
dandannieldanok Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 Will be interesting and exciting although I fear they will just try to emulate the Monaco thing. Monaco is unique and IMO should really be the only street circuit in F1. I know they are calling this one urban not street but thats just to try and fend of criticism from the likes of myself.
Geo V Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 Ive gone off F1 since ITV took over. I cant stand the non-stop commercial breaks and the lack of overtaking in the sport. Do any of you guys actually go to watch this stuff live as I couldnt think of anything more boring!?

Floating Fox Posted 11 May 2007 Posted 11 May 2007 Wow. F1 heading in the right direction. Night race sounds awesome, and it won't mean an early strart to catch it either

The proposed street circuit includes 2 bridges and follows a section of the waterfront. F1 Fanatic Link The street plan/route looks pretty awesome... Singapore Street Plan... I sense another trip to Asia for me!
