Benji Posted 21 May 2007 Posted 21 May 2007 A day later and i cant help but feel bitterly dissappointed A great day of hype, expectation and experience and it turned out to be such a poor showing. You could accept the result if it was a close fought, 2 point deficit and they lost respectfully. But the more i think about the game, the more i can only remember going toilet and getting a pint rather than any action. Don't get me wrong the achievements this season have been tremendous, their victory against Gloucester the other week was something else, and the away win against Munster will go down in the history books. But yesterday was such a great opportunity and as a fan who didn't have the chepaest day out it is a little frustrating. Ar well, i'm being greedy
Finnegan Posted 22 May 2007 Posted 22 May 2007 Not really. The domestic cup has never meant anything in English rugby and the League has been massively soiled by the play off system. The Heineken cup is the one worth winning and the one that should have gotten the best effort. I'd personally feel very betrayed in your situation, not just "a bit greedy."
