  1. Mine is literally just showing under "Football Friendlies" as Friendly 01 but it's the Foxes Hub footage
  2. Cammy Devlin not signed a new deal at Hearts so is available on a free. He'd be ideal for us if Winks/Skipp leave.
  3. Class, nice one 😂
  4. I'm suggesting that we'd be overpaying on his wages if he's on anything like what he's on at Villa, so the option to buy him probably wasn't even there. It'd be stupid to pay someone of his ilk the salary that he was reported to be on at Villa whilst in the division we're in. I do however agree that the Ings signing, unless he's on a small wage, is probably incredibly stupid, however it is only a 1 year deal.
  5. Fully agreed with this! Barry is perhaps the exception when it comes to salary, as presumably Villa had to pay him a wedge to entice him from Barcelona initially. O'Reilly would potentially be an excellent signing.
  6. I have no idea how much we'll be paying him and it'd be stupid if we were paying him anything approaching this. I haven't mentioned Danny Ings signing though, I was commenting on Louie Barry, given his high wages and the fee involved could potentially be a reason we didn't sign him and why that could actually be a sensible move rather than anything else.
  7. A) we're not in a financial position to spend £3.5 million (rumoured) on a single player. B) he's unlikely to have taken a significant wage reduction to sign for Sheffield Wednesday and was on around 35k per week at Aston Villa. We'd be stupid to commit to signing new players on anything like this salary in our current situation. Whilst he's a promising player, I'm not sure he'll ever be a regular PL level footballer, which you'd probably expect close to given his salary. I'd have actually been more concerned if we had bought him and committed to a long term contract paying him a handsome salary. (Although admittedly it would be more exciting than signing Danny Ings on a 1 year deal.) C) we're not going to be attracting PL players, no, we're in League One. But there's talented players about, especially in Scandinavia that'd jump at the opportunity to sign for a club of our size, with the increased exposure it'd give their career, with a wage increase, that'd both cost less to buy and on a smaller salary than Louie Barry.
  8. We won't spend £15 million (rising to £20 million) on our entire summer overhaul nevermind on a single player as we're not in a position to.
  9. I'd also argue that whilst Louie Barry is obviously a talented lad, if he was THAT good he probably wouldn't be signing for a League One team on a permanent deal
  10. Sheffield Wednesday aren't really shackled by the kind of wages our current squad are on though are they? We have a load of overpaid, pretty awful footballers, that won't go elsewhere as they'll be paid substantially less and don't have even close to the correct level of desire to get us out of the situation that we're in. We're not in a position to be spending money on players without getting rid of the kind just mentioned first. I think we'd all rather have Barry than Ings.
  11. As much as he's incredibly talented and will go on to have a career way above us, we really just need this to all go through now if it means we're able to start bringing in players in the most important areas that need strengthening
  12. I couldn't tell you the last time I was excited during the summer for an upcoming season of ours. Our social media in general is absolutely pathetic, there's no creativity or fun in anything that we produce in that regard and we're now charging per game to watch pre season games on a platform that doesn't even function properly half the time. Nice one Leicester, cracking job.
