SilverFox Posted 10 February 2005 Posted 10 February 2005 :thumbsup: Well at least my boys got a result, it probably doesn't interest anyone but in the recent past Ireland have played Holland, France, Brazil, Czech Republic, Portugal (obviously), Turkey and not lost to any of them!!! Brian Kerr has yet to lose at home and since taking over has only lost one in twenty something...so I am very pleased! Before anyone says anything I'm not gloating, it would have been nice if England could have beaten Holland tonight

No DC at all tonight i hear for Ireland however i hope he isnt injured. Wales also won 2-0 N.Ireland lost to Canada Keith played 75 mins and Lars was on the bench for Canada!

I think that is why so many neutrals really felt for us when we went out of the last world cup to spain on penalties, with Ireland you always get players sweating blood for each other. Love it!

Although I don't really feel that passionate about the latter's national team...

shen Posted 10 February 2005 Posted 10 February 2005 Just seen as well Theo scored for Greece in there 2-1 win over Denmark in the EURO QUAL Group 2!!!! 65007[/snapback] A shocking night for Denmark, though they had the worst injury list in years and horrible preparations... still they were out of sorts the 1st half with the Greeks camping in the Danish half for a full 30 mins couldn't string 2 passes together...though having said that, Theo's goal was clever and a little fortunate. A 30-35 yard freekick taken early and went through many legs before going past a badly positioned Sørensen. Their 2nd goal was an invisible penalty apparently committed by Gravesen. The 2nd half was a complete reversal of roles, and Denmark had several chances to equalise and win the game but it wasn't their night, and it certainly wasn't helped either by a strangely sub-standard Pierluigi Colina... I guess he got revenge for Italy's European Championships exit after the 'Scandinavian draw' <_<
