Mark Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Stolen from another "forum" <_< Listening to 106 Century FM tonight and Birch said that he saw Dion leaving the training facility today with a large bag of things...apparently he is currently talking to Micky. If this is true I fear for our back line...we will be very short of cover and I am not ready to place my faith in Heath and Dabizas. We need Centre backs....NOW GO DUBLIN GO
TornadoShaunUK Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 thats off talkingballs innit? Ive read it myself.. I duno whether to believe it or not, you know what birch is like... a bit exccentric, but having said that, he is part of the culb and has a better idea of whats goin on than we are going to have...

Jonbluefox9 Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Dublin had one of those over the shoulder bags with him this afternoon. Having said that, Gillespie was carrying more stuff than him and he's not on his way out. Take what the Birch says with a pinch of salt. He is at the training ground all day but he doesn't get any more information than the rest of us. He spends most of his time in his own little office. So in reply, Dion had as much with him as most others.
BartonFox Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Pity it wasn't somebody putting Birch in a black bin-liner and disposing of him to Coventry
Wilson Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Did anyone see him when he went into the Kop before our last home game (can't even remember who we played) He went up to have his picture taken & some lad took the piss out of him.

TrickyTrev Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Dublin is better than Dabizas and Heath and I'd quite like him ot partner Stearman until the end of the season.
Guest Daniel Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Dublin is better than Dabizas and Heath and I'd quite like him ot partner Stearman until the end of the season. 67271 I agree with you. It's a terrible case when Dion Dublin is the clubs best defender.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 I can tell you all that Dublin didn't drive away from training today but was picked up by a woman in some kind of people carrier. It didn't look like he'd got all of his belongings with him or anything like that though. His normal car is an Aston Martin reg plate something like 'D9 DUB' as far as I can remember.

It's a terrible case when Dion Dublin is the clubs best defender. 67276 I also agree, Heath and Dabizas haven't been too good. Heath has an excuse because he is relatively young and still learning his trade, but Dabizas has played at hte highest level for years...I've seen glimpses of what he can do this year, but they have been few and far between. The trouble is that Dabizas lacks consistency, and it seems that when he is left out he gets the hump. I remeber hearing on RL that after a game he warmed down on his own because he was subbed...very unprofessional. Get Stearman in there...what is the worst that could happen, we might stop conceding?
Oli Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Dabizas and Heath are a liability, we need to try Stearman at the back with one of those 2. I would prefer Dabizas.
Louise Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Birch did say that, however he said 'plastic bag' rather than 'bin liner' and I'm not sure he wasn't half-joking anyway...
