WANTED ====== MANAGER ----------- A famous Championship football club is currently looking for a manager. The position is for a period of seven days with a seven day option. Applicants will have total control of the team on Sundays between 6-7pm On match days the manager will be expected to don a suit and look as if he's in charge. The manager will be able to name his own assistant who will take charge of the team if the manager chooses to go to church on Sundays. The manager must be adaptable. He will have 1,457 players at his disposal - and they must be largely disposed of once the chairman has picked the team- so that space is created for the following week's signings. The manager will of course be in charge of tactics ---- during the pre-match warm-up. He must also be prepared to use a simple signalling system so as to communicate the chairman's tactics during the actual game. An ability to communicate with the Press is vital. In the event of a draw or defeat the manager will conduct all aftermatch interviews with particular reference to why the chairman's tactics weren't properly applied. Interviews will be exclusive to Gullible Newsgroup Publications. Should a game end in victory interviews will be given by the chairman who will get chance, therefore, to praise the manager and to decide whether to take up on his additional seven day option. The manager will have the right to bring in any players he wishes - by car, taxi, bus or bicycle - once the chairman has decided who should be signed and has given the manager their phone numbers.
