Computer Graphics People Needed!

I have created this team (De Montfort) on Football Manager. My problem is that I now need to get the logo into a PNG file format so that I can get it to work on the game... only problem is, I can't do it without there being a white background around the logo I have made:

What I really hope someone can do for me is make it into a PNG file without the white background around the circle and also make it into the three sizes needed for the game: 120x120 (the one I have done), 52x52 and 18x18 as I don't know how to make them shrink and then be saved like that.

I was also hoping that someone could also make the shirt for the team. I only want a home and away kit... no third kit which would be good. I have uploaded one kit (Coventry's - below) from which it can be used as a template I guess... I would like the home kit to be red and the away kit to be white.

If anyone can do this I will be ETERNALLY grateful... thanks in advance if its possible...

Thanks very much... those will do great. All I need now is the kits and I'll be off with a brand new team! :D

Does anyone know how to get the logo's to work in the game... I uploaded them to the area that you normally put the graphics but then it doesn't work and I guess thats cause I don't have the config file. How would I get one of those and the necessary backgrounds to the club as well?

Right. Firstly, "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\data\graphics\pictures" is the key folder for ALL logo / player picture / kit edits in the game, so make a note of it as you're coming back here later to do the kits.

Now then, for your logos:

1. From there, navigate Logos > Normal > Clubs > eng. This will bring you up several folders for each of the leagues in England. You need to put your first logo in here. (I don't know what edition of FM you're using, but for me, they're all about 70x70.) Name it something sensible, such as "demont" or "demont1"

2. Next you're going to have to edit the Config file, so right click it and select Open With > Notepad.

3. What you see in front of you, if you aren't used to this sort of thing, may look a bit confusing. But when starting all code, the best thing to do is simply steal an existing line an edit it. Using the examples already there, this should be really easy. Firstly, find the unique ID of your team in the editor. If you made a new team, this will probably be a rather lengthy number.

The lines already existing will look a bit like this:

<record from="championship/barnsley" to="graphics/pictures/club/606/logo"/>

Assuming you wanted your team in the Championship, your ID is '999' and your file is "demont1", you would need to add a line amongst the Championship teams reading:

<record from="championship/demont1" to="graphics/pictures/club/999/logo"/>

4. You're going to want to repeat that for your two other icons. It's a very, very similar process for the kits as well. If you can't work it out, or that doesnt work. Come back. Remember to save the config file when you're done, and maybe make a copy of it on your desktop or somewhere before you fiddle around with it. Just in case.

Or do the quick version, find whatever club you're replacing (if you're doing that way) and find out what the filename for their normal badge is, and call the De Montfort badge the same name and replace the original file :thumbup:

Why replace a team? :dunno:

Thanks... I'm trying it out now and I'll let you know if it works...

Could somebody alter the kits and make the two backgrounds (left and right) as it would complete the set then and I'd so very grateful! :D

Ok... here's the thing so far.

The graphics work following the advice I've been given but the normal size one is too small and the small one is too big... I'm guessing 16x16 for the small one and 70x70 for the normal one... if someone could do that I would be very pleased... like I said... I'm not much cop with altering graphics once I've created them...

Well if he's putting the team in a league, surely a team will be replaced? :dunno:

Nah... I just deleted a team and then created a new one...

To be done:

Home Kit (Red)

Away Kit (White)

Modify the Small logo to be 17x17

Modify the Normal logo to be 70x70

Create backgrounds (Left and Right)

Am trying myself but I ain't getting very far... :( :( :(

The original team will still be in the game though, just in a lower division.

Yeah if made a Foxestalk one, I'd just edit a team in the conference north like Hinckley, rather than creating a whole new team, then replace Hinckleys badge with the Foestalk one etc.
