andy_croydz Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 well what a match ay good goals from everyone i think, connolly worked hard williams played well the whole team did! loved the williams and stewart goals tho brilliant! and for ppl who sed we dont need scowcroft <_< that goal today proved just the reason we do B)
Mark Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 We dont, he didnt impress me at all and his goal was down to their keeper. Stewart played better, hopefully he can be consistant this season? Can anyone see that happening though? <_< Williams goal was my favourite, great cross by Stewart and quality shot into the top left corner from Williams - he's going to be good this season
gagandeep Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 well what a match ay good goals from everyone i think, connolly worked hard williams played well the whole team did! loved the williams and stewart goals tho brilliant! and for ppl who sed we dont need scowcroft <_< that goal today proved just the reason we do B) agrre with you, scowy will be vital, i had my doubts but now i realise what a good player he is for us.
Ricey Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 I know it's just a friendly but after watching the match yesterday I'm realyl confident about the coming season. We passeed the ball around very well and the players showed a great understanding for one another which is good considering most of them are new. We played some excellent football and the fitness levels look good aswell. Bring on the 'ammers!
andy_croydz Posted 2 August 2004 Author Posted 2 August 2004 to be honest mark stewart played crap sorry to say but the only good thing he did was the goal and a cross, he was offside too many times and kept tripping over the ball <_<
Guest Daniel Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 I think Stewart was average, and i think hes a decent player that will have a good season. Connolly played well and he was offside more times than Stewart was.
Ricey Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 Stewart kept getting offside, puuting it out for a goal kick and falling over his own feet. However he did look dangerous at times and put in some good crosses.
Oli Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 Stewart is one of my favorite players but last season he didt try and take on enough players and have long shots, like he did in our promotion campaign. He is deadly when he runs at the defence and just has a go from the edge of the box.
Guest Daniel Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 When stewart is on form he's excellent, im looking forward to seeing him at his best in the championship.

Marcoos Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 My concern was how easily they walked into our box down our left side. Wilcox cannot be allowed to play there or we wil ship goals this season.
Guest Daniel Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 I know, wilcox was the worst player on the pitch, couldnt believe how bad he was and how easy they did get into our box on there first goal.
Scow Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 Stewart was abysmal along with Wilcox yesterday - I will be mortified if that is our left flank line up for West Ham. Scowcroft played well - Linked up very well with Makin, and put some good crosses in to the box, and won almost everything in the air. Connolly was sharp, he seemed to be revelling in this 'rotational system' Micky has introduced where players swap positions when attacking. He would either drop deep, or move out wide to collect the ball and run at the defence.
andy_croydz Posted 2 August 2004 Author Posted 2 August 2004 agreed scowy, but thing is i think wilcox shud play left wing! hes not a left back really hes more attacking u cant put a attacking player left back he'll get skinned just like wilcox did
Sparky Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 i dont think adams trusts stewart at left back thats why wilcox has been playing there , surely tiatto will play there after suspension
andy_croydz Posted 3 August 2004 Author Posted 3 August 2004 i dont really trust stewart at left wing either, i dont trust him to be on the pitch :: dunno petrescu how you can say stewart played better than scowcroft!!! scowcroft worked harder won more balls in the air and made more passes that actually reached the opponent than stewart did
