josedob Posted 27 September 2007 Share Posted 27 September 2007 Will be in UK for holiday and attending the Barnsley game. Recommendations on hotels (preferably budget minded) in city centre close to station/stadium? Holiday Inn Express has no vacancies. How's the Days Inn over by the Shires? Much of a walk to Walkers? Thanks.

If you know the route from that Holiday Inn you should be looking at around a 10-15 minute walk, so no not much of a walk.

Not that much of a walk and you can always nip into the Swan and Rushes on the way to meet a few of the boys and girls on here!

Suffolk_fox Posted 20 October 2007 Share Posted 20 October 2007 Being on the road a lot, I use a company called Infotel. You tell them where you want to be, give them your budget and they make the suggestions. Its free too, they take a percentage from the hotel or something (or the hotel subscribes). Very very good service, they have a website but its better talking to them by phone. 01775 841184 Good luck!
