Kelly's record seems suspiciously respectable

That's what I thought too :o but it's relative to the other dross we've had. One win in three still isn't good enough.

If this had been drawn up from the beginning of Adams reign then he would have the best managerial record by a mile surely?

MA's record isn't that bad either although I think he still needed more games for it to make any difference to that chart!

This makes interesting reading, however several of the managers were here for such a short period that their records don't really mean much. Like me saying I've got a great 100% record on match threads but I've only ever started one

OK I've now gone back to the start of Martin O'Neill's reign in December 1995.

The columns are ordered Wins / Draws / Losses / Points Gained / Total Points Available in Games Managed / % Win Rate / Overall %

City's actual Win Rate % over the 571 games is 34.50%. Their overall percentage is 44.83%

O'Neill----------------85---70---68---325---669---38.12%---48.58%

Taylor----------------19----9----29----66---162---35.19%---40.74%

Parker----------------0-----0-----1------0------3----0.00%-----0.00%

Adams---------------41---36----32---159---327---37.61%----48.62%

Bassett----------------4---12----16----24-----96---12.50%----25.00%

Levein----------------20---25----25----85---210----28.57%---40.48%

Kelly------------------21---19----23----82---189----33.33%---43.39%

Worthington-----------2----0-----3------6-----15----40.00%---40.00%

Allen-------------------2----1-----1------7-----12----50.00%----58.33%

Rudkin-----------------0----1-----0------1------3------0.00%----33.33%

Megson----------------3----4-----2-----13----27-----33.33%----48.15%

Dave Bassett had two spells as manager but I've put all his results in the one pot.

I have included all cup games and awarded points as if they were league games.

Allens the one then, give him an actual chance this time :P Allen 7 points out of 12, thats nearly 2 points a game in 4 league games. Bring him back

Well this says it all really doesnt - the majority of Mickys games were in the premiership and his record still holds up. What a silly silly thing we did - we were 2 points off the playoffs ffs! What we would give for that now. Bring him back.

You can't really make anything for the stats of Parker, Bassett, Worthington, Allen, Rudkin, Megson and Burrows because of the very small ammount of games they were in charge for.

I know! Not sure which is more sad - me for putting the stats together or the fact that we've had 6 different managerial set-up for the last 21 games!
