Democratic Republic of Congo international Christopher Samba has spoken of his delight at a new deal at Blackburn Rovers. The giant defender has been a revelation since joining Blackburn from Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin for a modest fee of £400.000 in January 2007, making the new contract richly deserved. "The new contract is a reward for what I have done here. I have ambitions to win titles but I hope I can win things at Blackburn.†The 23-year-old French-born defender has been nicknamed ‘King Kong’ by his team-mates. “Everybody in the team calls me King Kong. I don't mind. It's because I am big," said Samba. "Benni McCarthy, Sav [Robbie Savage] and Aaron [Mokoena] started it and now the name has stuck. "Being noticed isn't a problem for me because I live in Manchester and the people there are only interested in seeing Manchester United players. It doesn't bother me - I prefer a quiet life."

Benni McCarthy and Aaron Mokoena are both black as well and Savage is a full time twat. So that would go some way to explaining it.
The People's Hero Posted 29 October 2007 Posted 29 October 2007 Yes, it is. Now let's stop talking about the boring old twat and move on, eh? I'm sick of reading about him. Sorry mate, it's just one of my pet peeves. If everybody stood up to bigots and said 'that's unacceptable, i'm not having that' we could soon stamp it out in 90% of cases. Anyway, you're right. Great hit by Chris Samba at the weekend anyway - and especially good to see Blackburn beat Spurs.

The People's Hero Posted 29 October 2007 Posted 29 October 2007 You really don't like Spurs do you. No. My least favourite of the London sides. Along with Leeds, Sheff Yoo, Forest and Derby, they make up the 5 teams I love to see fail. I can't quite bring myself to hate Bolton, but for the record, I'd love to see them relegated too.
Joe. Posted 29 October 2007 Posted 29 October 2007 I especially like this goal due to the fact I have Samba in my fantasy team.
