Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Vs. La Galaxy and David Beckham

Well i will be off in a little while to watch goldenballs becks and his la galaxy play the local professional vancouver whitecaps at bc.place stadium apparently they have sold 45 thousand tickets for this match. The contract for the friendly between both clubs stipulates that beckham must play at least 45 minutes, i heard a rumor that mclaren is here in vancouver as well to watch beckham in action.

Have you seen the toronto fans?, they put us to shame, brilliant atmosphere.

They have a great 'tradition' of pelting the corner taker with streamers, and I'm not talking a few, hundreds of the things. Its pretty funny, seeing players covered in shit trying to take the corner.

he was horrible, if you watched him last night you would never believe he has captained and played for england before he played like a total girl. He backed off from every challenge, didn't challenge for 50/50 balls kept playing one touch football and played some defensive midfield position, i dont think he was a 100 percent and the game didn't open up untill he was subsituted off.

highlights of the match: The game itself may have been bland but the night supplied other forms of excitement.

The match was delayed briefly in the second half when a man leaped on the pitch, stripped off his clothes, and ran naked around the field.

The antics brought a roar from the crowd. Beckham was shown on television laughing with one of his teammates.

"I've seen it before," Beckham chuckled afterwards. "We've had it a few times in Europe. You try and run the other way."

There also was a cheer when a man proposed to his girlfriend on the big TV screen she said YES

For the first time in my life im going to stick up for David Beckham. The guy has just came back from injury and has a huge game for England coming up. So the last thing he was gonna do was play seriously. He turned up, made LA some money and that is his job. The guy doesn't care, he is picking up alot of money for these games.
