foxtrot Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 I'll take a 1-1 right now. It'll be interesting though, cos if we go up 1-0 then it'll be very very difficult for you to score. 9 men behind the ball and hooooof it up to Carl Cort is our game plan. We are used to teams coming down the gate with everyone behind the ball. One thing you can say about our team is that we always try to play good football. Hopefully The boys will be right up for it after the very dissapointing drubbing at ipswich.
Head Honcho Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 I can only remember us playing Bristol twice and both where in the FA Cup. First one was at Filbert St in our great cup run under Taylor I think Cresswell, Sturridge and Izzet scored. Second one was when played the at the Walkers in our first season there. Freezing cold day and i think they brought around 4,000. Elliot and Dickov scoring and i always remember Dickov scoring because Big Trev was on for a tap in untill Dickov ran straight past him and put it in instead. They also beat us 2-1 in the 4th round at Filbo in 92! I remember because I was in Bristol that day with some mates who supported Bristol Rovers they were due to play Spurs but it was postponed so we just got pissed

Ipswich is a hard place to, go just ask us. We lost 6-1 a few year back but still went up ... Every cloud hey

The only time i've ever seen us win at Ipswich was way back in 97 in the Coca Cola Cup what took us to the semi finals. I remember on the coach there, we heard that Mark Robins was playing and my dad was calling him blind ... Then he went and scored a peach of a goal ... Skiddy boots finest hour.
