Wherethefoxhat? Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Considering Ollie's been here for less than a week-what a fantastic all round impression he's made. He's got the players & staff buzzing-------the majority of fans are really positive & optimistic. He speaks so passionately & has advocated attacking football. I can't think of many managers at all that would have readily been BRAVE enough ,let alone confident enough,to have even put those youngsters on the BENCH never mind actually bringing them on !! Respect Ollie ! Hollowaythelads !!

Fat Ron Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 He has made a cracking start to the job here... First Manager in over 50 years to win opening League game and then a great battling performance last night... Will be interesting once he has made his mark in the Transfer Market!!

Respect Ollie ! Hollowaythelads !! Fully agree, he already seems to have the players willing to work their socks off for him. It finally seems as if we have someone that will bring back the pride and passion we all feel about the club. I know it's still early days but the signs are very promising. Who knows after last nights rendition of Olivers Army over the tannoy, he may even be tempted to give Elvis a chance.
crisp monster Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Top Man that was certainly the type of game that a couple of weeks ago we would have lost. but his constant encouragement and willing them on from the touchline was great to see
Cheese Me Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Definitely doing a good job. Can we have Thracian's scoring as per Martin Allen back please so we can see just how well he's doing. Youth on bench and field must have counted for a few points
StroudFox Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 I am new here so be kind! I think Holloway will be great for the club but I am wondering what N'Gotty has done to be dropped. I had thought that he had been really solid in defence yet, under Holloway he was a sub against Bristol and didn't feature at all against Cardiff. Although first half was not great, at least we created chances at the end of the game. Shame one of them couldn't have gone in!

DB11 Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Kind of reminds you of that guy... oh what's his name? Martin something?

Youth on bench and field must have counted for a few points You're welcome. I'd have given him +2.5 for the manner of our away win at Bristol and +1.5 for the draw against Cardiff in which we genuinely tried to win the game with limited attacking resources and had the opposition looking pretty desperate in the last 25 minutes. So +4 overall, the marks reflecting 4 points from six, some positive football, selecting arguably our best teams and quite obviously motivating the players, not necessarily an easy thing to do twice in 48 hours.
Cheese Me Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Glad to see the scoring back. Can you keep it up for a while please.
