Brainy Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 Struggling in the Premiership or mid-table Championship football?
DB11 Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 Well if we needed the money then Derby but we don't really need the money so I'd much rather be in Leicester's predicament and full of optimism than Derby's where, on the way to games, all they have to worry about is how much they'll concede today!
Cheese Me Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 Much rather be where Derby are. A bit of glamour, opportunity to attract better players then parachute payments to set you up for a promotion push next season. Would rather be in Watford's position though.
WetFlannel Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 I'd hate to be in derbys position, paying more money just to watch them put in performances like that???
dandannieldanok Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 I'd rather be crap in the prem than mediocre down here.
Simi Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 I'd rather be Derby so I could of experienced winning a play off final at Wemberlee.
WetFlannel Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 I'd rather be crap in the prem than mediocre down here. you would seriously pay that amount of money to get hammered 5 - 0 every week? at least we know we are going through a bad patch but with a settled manager there will be light at the end of the tunnel... at the moment, derby arent even in the tunnel
Ultra Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 At the moment, the sheep have a slightly better chance of playing in next season's Premier League than we do. The bottom half of that league is so weak, it would only take a couple of wins for them to rise from the drop zone.
WetFlannel Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 At the moment, the sheep have a slightly better chance of playing in next season's Premier League than we do.The bottom half of that league is so weak, it would only take a couple of wins for them to rise from the drop zone. surely a small string of results for us would make us rise towards the top half, and when derby are up against PREMIERSHIP teams, we are the ones more likely to get a run of results...
Tommeh Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 For the people who actually attend games especially away I'd honestly prefer to be in our position. Derby's away goals this season: 0 Our away goals this season: 16 inc. cups Derby's average ticket price away: (student) £25-30 What I've been paying average: (student) £16 Derby's total goals scored this season (all comps): 7 Our total goals just in league cup: 8 Being in the prem is all very well but being able to compete in it is something else. Personally I'd hate to be them atm. Their rival to our thrilling cup run: loosing 2-2 on pens to blackpool They must be getting some good days out this season right up till 3pm with all the grounds anfield, emirates etc. but the fact is their bottom of the prem heading straight back down and I see no enjoyment in it whatsoever. If Jewell can turn it around then fair play and I'd probably take their position but at the moment looking back at some of the games we've had this season (accrinton, forest, palace, bristol c, villa, chelsea - Its a complete no brainer.
WetFlannel Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 do we actually care about derby... no /case closed
He's not bald Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 do we actually care about derby... no /case closed What??..in the Prem any day...thought that's where we all want to be?
Daz.I Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Rather be in Leicesters we're a club on the up and when we get up we're gonna have the balls to stay up
Fox You Forest Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Not going to answer it then? My vote has been cast.
FilboFox Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 For all those who have voted for being in Derby's position... SHAME ON YOU!!! Would you really want to be rooted to the foot of the Premiership, conceding around 4 goals every game, being unable to score ANY, having not a CAT IN HELL'S chance of surviving in that division and then face a mass exodus of their best players when they get relegated? OR, would you rather be in a safe mid-table position in the Championship, just 7 points off the play-offs with well over half the season left to go, have enough money to get good players to come to the club, have a very passionate manager and a good shot at a promotion push? I think that really, it makes better reading for being a Leicester fan at the moment...
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 I've already spent plenty of money seeing us play terrible football in the Premiership every week, and rooted to the foot of the Premiership table, it was called the 2001/02 season. No Premiership football for us until we're ready to make a real go of it, thanks.
ASH17LCFC Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 I'd rather be Derby so I could of experienced winning a play off final at Wemberlee. Didn't you go to the Derby or Palace playoff wins ? I rather be where Derby are to be honest.
Asha Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 At least Derby are in the prem, like if we went up we'd be straight back down again.
Staf Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 I think i would rather be in Derbys because at the end of the day they are in the best league in the world playing some of the best teams in the world
act smiley Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Ours. Because even if we aren't in a very good position at all, its a position where you can have hope and that's so much more satisfying than playing some famous teams and having no chance.

I think that really, it makes better reading for being a Leicester fan at the moment... TWO home wins out of 11 games suggests we could be dragged into a relegation battle... Holloway may be passionate, but he's yet to prove himself at this level, let alone in the top flight as Jewell has done.
