Sorry if the link dosn't work but I am well into my 60's and this modern technology baffles me...

Seems like them Argyle fans don't got anything better to do with there time than muck people about. Mind you it is bleedy funny though init. And they are higher in the leauge than us and I suppose they have a point about Hollowords and all that.

Hope there not right about that Chadwick though cus he really is a load of crap.

Firstly, :welcome:

Secondly, I agree. Nick Chadwick would be in place in a league one side...we are on such a higher level then that surely.

And the link works fine for me

Ooops - I got a name check there too. Guess I fell for it, though I couldn't name many more 'Ex Argyle' players than I could famous Belgians.

Argyle legends have been queuing up to heap more misery on former Pilgrims manager Ian Holloway - if a Midlands website is to be believed.

The names of goal-scoring icons Tommy Tynan and Sammie Black have been among those who have been commenting on Holloway's recent - and controversially abrupt - departure from the Elysian fields of Home Park to the rather less salubrious surroundings of the Walkers Stadium, and the undoubted attractions of owner Milan Mandaric's large bankroll.

Not only Tommy and Sammie have been putting the boot into Ollie, though, according to the Leicester Mercury's fans' website.

Former pocket-sized striker Earl Jean, a limited hit with the Pilgrims during the barren 1990s, also had his say from his retirement retreat in the Caribbean.

There were other ex-players like Darren Rowbotham, a former Argyle director or two, and a Daniel Pasoti, whose last name sounded suspiciously like a city-based Argyle supporters' group.

They were joined by a Bobby Williamson from the East Midlands, who happens to have the same moniker as a previous Argyle manager, a certain Steve McClaren, who took the time to contact the Mercury from his Barbados location and a Lynne Durst, who would probably sound like one of the stands at Home Park if you said her name quickly.

And there were even contributions from a 'comedian' called Jethro from 'St Budo'.

The fuss was all about an article in the Mercury detailing Holloway's wish for a new strikeforce for the Foxes.

Plymouth fans suspect that Holloway, armed with Mandaric's money, will swoop on some of Argyle's better players when the transfer window opens again in January.

The story, predictably, spawned a host of comments from Leicester fans whose team are languishing dangerously close to the relegation end of the Championship - and quite a few from people whose home is probably closer to the South West than the Midlands.

Typical were the comments of Darren Rowbotham of Measham.

He said: "I've been a City supporter all my life, but with this parvenu from Plymouth as manager, I really fear our immediate future could be in League One.

"Money, even when backed by fine words, do not necessarily bring a team instant success."

Roger Turncoat of Grantham said: "Guys, this is supposed to be a serious debate! If all of you are such seasoned fans, how come none of you have suggested the blistering pace and goal scoring prowess of his former player Nick Chadwick. I'm sure Mr Holloway would be able to get him for a couple of million."

A 'Bobby Williamson' of East Midlands said: "I have some sympathy for Holloway - can't be easy being a football manager."

Some Leicester fans actually reacted with apparent seriousness to the comments.

One from Mercury reader Ahmed Himinagaybar of Shepshed said: "All these knee-jerk reactions are laughable. The guy has only been here five minutes. He sounds committed to getting the club back on its feet and into the Premiership.

"He's here for the long haul and is clearly passionate about the club. Give him time."

The Suffolk Fox from Suffolk said: "I cannot believe people are calling for Holloway's head. The intelligence of these fools is incredible. We need stability!"

However, the penny appeared to drop for the Leicester fans by the time Jann Ernuggett of Devon posted.

She said: "I'd like to think he would go back in for a couple of the guys in the South West. Barry Hayles is a good prospect. Failing any attempt to get him, Cherno Samba has potential."

Just goes to show, though. Sometimes you really can't believe what you read in the newspapers - or on their websites.

Jon, plymouth

I like that one Homer. Not enough runners, too many Walkers. Hollow flavoured crisps must be Walkers, can't imagine him being a Golden Wonder, unless he ends up with the Wolves job of course.

Les Tercity, Midlands

You cannot leave comments on the leicester website any more.....spoilsports!

Green man, Plymf

I cannot believe that people would impersonate a football player. This story is clearly not researched properly as I am sure you will find many of these are genuine.

Steve Cherry, Goal

Whats done is done im looking forward, coming back for players will only amount to Leicester having to pay over the odds for them, 1. we know they have money & 2. due to the reluctance of the board to sell to Leicester..Managing an x premiership club will only amount to pressure as far as im concerned. Once the money has been spent its 'do or die' for Ian.

matthew, plymouth

Just a quick one adding on to my comment Watch out Leicester, The way he is mangering Ian holloway may get the England job.

phillip bishop, dusley

Hi there, Well done Ian, I think you are a great boss. You have helped Leicester to gain 2 losses on the trot. Good luck at Hull, I hope it goes from bad to worse. In just a few games you will be bottom of the league. Hope to see you in the employment agency next mouth Holloway. Phill the Green

Hey see the funny side all you foxes fans at least you can play all the teams in league 1 next season that you havent played for years , lets see how long it takes milan mandric to bail out and dump ollie the turncoat with blue blood (YEH RIGHT) on his way out , great to see luggy back in the hot seat

shi,its Turrer, Mosul Iraq

Ian Who? Plymouth are better off without him. Mr Holloway is the past. Additionally, why would he be wanting any of our players? He went to LCFC so that he could spend big money, so why move to a club to buy players he already had at his disposal at PAFC? Anyway, at some stage during 2008, IH will have either been sacked by Milan or the LCFC fans will be asking why IH has moved on to another club when he stated that he had blue blood running through his veins?

Jonathan, Hampshire

There's so much water under the bridge already Leicester City!

Christian Tamar , Suffolk

Best laugh I've had in ages. You've all done very well
