Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 11 July 2004 Posted 11 July 2004 ellington is much better than roberts in the air before roberts came ellington was always being marked by 2 players and he didnt get much space but now roberts has come he is a much better player B) i cant wait to see them with a pre season under their belts and a full season to come

I'm not arguing about the clauses. I just said we could have afforded to keep them, which you suggested we couldn't. Dickov, Scimeca and Thathcer all would have been on reduced wages to keep in line with the budget in the event of relegation.

To early to call at the moment no that aint true, west brom lost their 1st game 4-1 to walsall, and then they turned it around. you can decide about a month into the season

87fox Posted 11 July 2004 Posted 11 July 2004 It's always best to get off to a winning start because winning breeds confidence. So I think by beating West Ham at home, that will give a clear indication that we can go on to win the league.
