I have had whelks in chocolate and that worm at the bottom of a bottle of Tequila.

I too had kangaroo and emu in Hong Kong. In China I was offered amongst other 'specialities' bamboo rat and snake. The idea of rat though was slightly off putting!

Had ostrich in a restaurant in The Waterfront, Cape Town. Very nice, both the meat and Cape Town (If you ever get the chance, go it's superb)

Also had some sort of deer type meat in Stellenbosch but can't remember the name of which variety of deer it was.
