Not sure if he should get in ahead f Hayles at the moment. He always looks more likely to score than any of our crop of strikers and djs miss was a very bad miss in my opinion.

Surely if we follow Thracian's maxim of not rushing players back until fully fit his place has to be on the bench. As Ric says his miss was terrible but then that is pretty typical of his play good in the 6 yard box but not great anywhere else and his performances this season have sort of reinforced my fears. I really hope he is the answer but for me at the moment the jury is well and truly out on whether he is worth the money we paid for him.

Half an hour is what I'd be aiming for. I just don't see the point in having people go through a long recovery period only for us to get impatient at the end. I never felt it ever did Weso, Williams, Fryatt, or Kenton and good.

Players themselves always feel fit at this stage when they are not under pressure and they're bursting to play.

Unfortunately I'm not sure "fitness tests" ever equate to the real thing and I'd rather a manager err on the side of caution and take things step by step, thus minimising the risks of a setback.

But once fully back Campbell's a key player cos he's so fast off the mark and so difficult to combat. He really should have taken Monday's chance but it was still good to see someone actually burst clear of a defence.

Quite a few clubs were after DJ and his career in professional football is still relatively new so he could be one of the signings who comes good but Im sure he`ll at least learn plenty in training from the likes of Hayles and Howard who have seen it all down the years.

Lets hope he does step up and prove his worth.
