Koke Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake was today charged with assault in connection with an alleged bottle attack at a nightclub. The 21-year-old is accused of actual bodily harm and a public order offence following a fracas at the Candy Store nightclub in Plymouth in November. A 37-year-old man was left with a 3in cut to his head in the alleged attack. Ebanks-Blake, who has scored twice in four games for Wolves since leaving Plymouth Argyle last month for £1.5 million, was given police bail and will appear before Plymouth Magistrates on February 20. He was arrested hours after Argyle’s 3-0 Championship victory over Norwich City at Home Park. Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed Ebanks-Blake was today charged and rebailed. Surely he can't be more gangster than me can he? And wouldn't be nice if he was unleashed against Joey Barton. Always wondered how tough Joey actually is.
Leicester Lass Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Well that'll be Ollie's fault as well. Obviously.
Geo V Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Surely he can't be more gangster than me can he? And wouldn't be nice if he was unleashed against Joey Barton. Always wondered how tough Joey actually is. If Barton wasnt a footballer you could all but map out his life as you know what he would do day to day and what he would become. As for Ebanks-Blake, he is over-rated as a footballer and is nowhere near as gansta as either Elvis or Sappleton, nowhere near.
Alexikokopops Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 I bet Paul Stapleton is already preparing a statement about how Ollie encouraged Ebanks-Blake to bottle people.
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Yes... I can see Ollie get it for this one!!! I also think Ebanks-Blake would get a good hiding by the sappleton/hellings combo...... i can see it now.... Cigar stubs in the eyes.... dirty tactics and all sorts.... Have the police actually arrested these two yet.... seen them on crime watch the other night but didnt feel the reward was of any use to me!! Shop these two laid back bench warmers up and get a free " how to sit in the ressies and smoke weed like a G" signed book!!
andyh1884 Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 I bet Paul Stapleton is already preparing a statement about how Ollie encouraged Ebanks-Blake to bottle people. It appears what he actually did was hit the bouncer with his girlfriend handbag. Nice work Sylvain, very gangsta! Handbags A Championship footballer has been fined £1,350 after hitting a nightclub doorman with his girlfriend's handbag in Plymouth last November. Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm and a public order offence outside the Candy Store club. The court heard Greg Smith, 37, suffered a 3in (7.6cm) cut to his head. The former Plymouth Argyle player was told he was of previous good character and given credit for pleading guilty. Fracas outside The 22-year-old striker, of Renaissance Gardens, Plymouth, was a member of the Plymouth Argyle squad at the time of the incident. He was ejected from the Candy Store with friends at about 0400 GMT on 11 November and an argument started on the pavement outside. Prosecuting barrister David Gittins said CCTV footage showed Ebanks-Blake holding "something over his head" which he hit the doorman with. He said: "It was his girlfriend's handbag. Having been ejected from the club there was a fracas. We do not know what was in the handbag. "There was a two to three inch cut on the man's head." At Plymouth Crown Court, Judge Francis Gilbert QC said he was a man of previous good character and gave him credit for pleading guilty. Ebanks-Blake was also ordered to pay compensation of £500 and prosecution costs of £650.

Always wondered how tough Joey actually is. It would make for much more interesting half-time entertainment than is usually the case. Be a decent opportunity for the bookies too.
