Our defence is looking so much better and the 4 goals we have let in were 2 penaltys and 1 walker mess up so apart form teddys last night we are finally starting to get some shape back there? Anyone disagree?
Vardinhio Posted 19 March 2005 Posted 19 March 2005 McCarthy is doing well but I'm not so sure about Kenton. He suits the wing back role perfectly but I'm not sure he can play across a back 4 or in a back 3 which Levein changed to after Dabizas was sent off as defensively I don't think he' that good. Dublin looks good when he plays and Dabizas is very inconsitent. Heath has been poor for a while and Maybury despite being fully commited, I feel i still getting used to the pace of English football after his spell in the wilderness.

Chimp Posted 19 March 2005 Posted 19 March 2005 TBH, I don't have 100% confidence in any of our central defence, not in the same way that used to have with Elliot and Taggart, if you know what I mean. That said, McCarthy looks promising, I think by the end of the season we'll be able to tell whether he was a good buy.

Frenzied Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 Great from what I've seen so far, especially at the West Ham game. He looks very solid and commanding defensively but unlike anyone that's played in the centre of defence since Kamark, he can pass the ball. :w00t:
