Thracian Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 Spot fooking on The Hungarians have not been treated any different to various other players who've been ousted from the team, people of various nationalities including English and other Brits, and who would have a much stronger case for being pissed off. Australian Wesolowski has hardly had a look in despite being by far our best midfielder until his first injury this season. And who the hell is he being left out for? No-one that I can see who's been especially outstanding nor who has had any special impact. Then there's Andy King. Scores a cracking goal from midfield and two more quality goals in the reserves but has dropped right out of the picture despite having so much that we appear to need right now. Shush! of course has disappeared completely as have the chances he used to create with great regularity, Gradel too has been declared surplus to requirements when like Shush!, we've been desperate for his goals/assists. And what about Fryatt? He must be chuffed to bits having the briefest cameos while the team fails to score in six of its last 11 matches and after Holloway had said how much he rated the lad. Then there's golden boy and £1+ rated Mattock? He too has been reduced to bit parts while the policy of introducing experienced old timers continues and while the outcome is that we've become genuine relegation candidates. There's no way the Hungarians have looked ready and the fact they've been left out has sod-all to do with them being foreign. They didn't even score or make any goals for the reserves last night and while it concerns me that no-one seems to be hitiing top form in City colours just now I really don't see the Hungarians are being sold shorter than anyone else. It's plain what the attitudes are at City. If one player doesn't work buy/borrow someone else. It's a big part of our problem but no bigger for the Hungarians than for others. It would seem that only the golden oldies that belong to the new Chosen Men can feel relatively safe because I honestly believe the investment in experience is as much down to Mandaric as Holloway. How ironic therefore that our outstanding player these recent difficult weeks has been the only young 'un left, and an Englishman... Richard Stearman. The guy, I'd imagine, who the club really means more to than anyone else.

If I were Ollie I'd give serious consideration to making him captain, he's been here the longest, clearly gives a shit and is 1 of the few players that try to make an impact at both ends of the pitch. you lot can slate me all you like for saying that, but its how I feel and he certainly couldn't be a worse captain then Clemence
