Fox in a Box Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 for those who can remember roberto mancini one of the finest footballers ever, we were so lucky to see him all be it not at his best. I have been discussing with a fellow LCFC fan, he thinks hes poor. Did the man not see the game against chelsea? he ran the show. Did the man never watch italian footy on CH4. I might get a new top and get his name on the back.... and be proud to wear it too...... So tell me a better player in his day .. Links and Cottee maybe.
Scarby Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 What happened to Italian Football on sunday afternoon...bring it back

Guest Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 He might have been a class player, but he used City to get his coaching badges. It looks like he's going to be a class manager too!

Ric Flair Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 Brilliant. The only good thing to come out of Taylor's reign as manager.
Guest Daniel Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 He was a quality player and showed alot of class. I wasn't lucky enough to see him at his best, although I would of loved to.

evs_the_fox Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 in response to cell seven, i seem to recall junior lewis playing very well in a game against chelsea too, and how good was he for us after? please be aware im not comparing mancini to lewis, but you get my point. agreed mancini, in his day, was a class act, unfortunately his days were long gone by the time he came to us and he didn't contribute anything while he was here, except maybe a few fancy tricks in training. and seeing how it was taylor that signed him, he wouldn't have been paid very lightly. great player. wank for us.

Signed by us when he was well past it and looking for his last big payday.
Scow Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 He endured a slow start, but had found his feet against Chelsea. Was a class above Zola that day.
Scarby Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 HOW MANY GAMES DID HE PLAY FOR US?? 81953[/snapback] enough Have you got a caps lock button on your keyboard. Why not give it a press
Oli Posted 25 March 2005 Posted 25 March 2005 Mancini was quality. Doing quite well as a manager as well. Currently managing Inter after spells managing Fiorentina and Lazio.
dan_84 Posted 25 March 2005 Posted 25 March 2005 Overated. He was way past it when he joined us. Before i get slated for saying that.... How many Goals did he score? Eeeee Orrrrrr
Newcastle_Fox Posted 25 March 2005 Posted 25 March 2005 He was class against Chelsea he ran the show he was a quick thinker and kept putting quality balls into Akinbadbuy and he kept skying them over the bar or missing them. If only he had a decent striker like Stan with him!!
