Why I think we are where we are.

The major problem on the field is desire! In my opinion we have at most 3 players with real desire to win. Hendrie on loan, Hayles who is too short a measure, and Howard who relies on getting good service.

The other outfield players just don't have it in them to be winners. Their levels of Intensity and desire to win game in game out are just not there. I have realised this since we played Bristol City @ home. The Bristol City side were 2nd best to us almost all day yet they are where they are we are where we are! There is a reason for this. Our players can get up for games like they were for 36minutes of the 1st half yesterday Yet their ability to be "up for it" fades as the game goes on. Yesterday for 36 minutes we were camped in Hull's half, they could not get the ball off of us and we looked a class apart as I believe we have one of the best collection of players in this leauge. However when our players don't have that fire in their minds to win the ball and give 100% without thinking about it we are lacklustre, and that is why I believe we are so inconsistent. The players as a collective don't have determination, Intensity and that "will to win" in enough concentration. In short the character of the side is not determined enough in this ultra competitive leauge.

No-it's attitude,application & angst !!

I'm starting to think we should get rid of Kisnorbo and McAuley

OK! They put in some good performances but are these performance at the expense of the rest of the team?

I don't get to see many matches so I'm open to criticism here but players like Kisnorbo and McAuley really need to be more then just central defenders-good distribution from these players is vital and in the games I've seen this season it just isn't happening.

They may have one of the best defensive records in the league but what use is that when our midfielders have to run around like headless chickens trying to win a ball that should have been passed through to them!

Kisnorbo is definitely a poor defender no matter what anybody says about stats and so on - he has probably given away the most free-kicks in the championship and all in good position and he is also too slow. But for some reason him and Mcauley work very well together. :dunno:
