Are we a big club?

We are a big club compared to some of the rubbish in this division. It's just a pity that we haven't got the football to match it. End of the day, that's what counts. Fulham, Wigan and Reading are all good examples of what little clubs can do if they get the footballing side right.

We are a big club in the sense that we have history and that we have never been outside the top two leagues of English football, something that not many others can claim. We have good facilities and support, our average home support is more than some premiership teams. Something I am amazed by seeing as the shite standard of football we have had to put up with over the last few years.

But, on the current footballing side of things, we have become a bit of a laughing stock, with the whole managerial merry-go round. Someone people still believe that we are a big club in this sense and I think that they need to wake up and smell the coffee. We were a big club in the past and hopefully we can get back to where we was, in the premiership. But at this moment in time we are on the verge of dropping into the third tier of English football, which will be a first in the clubs history.

IMO some of our supporters are a little ignorant and think that we are a lot better than we are. I suppose this could be said for the players as well, they think they are a lot better than they are and go into some games too confident. Club's like Burnley and Hull they're not massive and they know that but they are shooting up the league. We sometimes look down our noses at clubs like these and think we are better than them. As a club we think we are something that we are not.

To be honest it doesn't bother me what other people think of our club. I think our club is the greatest, nothing will ever change me from thinking that, that's all there is to say on this matter.
