Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 April 2008 Share Posted 7 April 2008 yeah i've been to eighties night down the fancluba few times. it's certainly a less dreading prospect going there now it's been done up, and you can actually sit down somewhere, without getting black grime although yourself. As for eighties music, REM, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Meat Puppets, Sonic Youth, Chameleons, JAMC, Wedding Present, Smiths, basically any alternative american rock and british post punk/shoegaze aint it. one of the best decades for music arguably. Up there with the 90's, 60's, 00's and 70's for sure.. Most of those bands you mention were very late 80s - early 90s. But that was a great time for music 88-92. Classic albums from that small era: Screamadelica (91) Doolittle (89) Bossanova (90) Bizzaro (89) Sea Monsters (91) Daydream Nation (88) Goo (90) Dirty (92) Bug (88) Green Mind (91) Isn't Anything (88) Loveless (91) Green (88) Out of Time (91) Disintergration (89)
