moore lita

That weren't be the team but thats what i wud like it to be for next season. people may complain by the age and lack of experiance in the side but a lot of those players there have played over 100 games and i think that is enough. stewart taylor in goal. only fault can't kick but that cud be easilty rectified. The midfield wud create loads and cause havac in the championship. stearman wudn't be a risk because he is rated highly and i think cud do very well and wud gain a lot from a season in the championship and i think the front line of moore and lita wud be like roberts and ellington. Three new players there would cost in total about 2.5m, 1m for commons, 500k - 1m for lita and 500k for taylor. not saying this will be next seasons team just saying what it shud be. any other posible line ups which people wud like??

oh and moore from villa for about 300k to 500k. 3 m the cost but we have kit sales, parachute payment from prem which is about 7 m, season tickets and costs cut by half if tigers join. even if we don't get those players i think we will spend in the region of 2m - 3m

I do like the look of that team although i'd like to see a new left back aswell really. Stewart is good, but I think we need someone more reliable to marshal the left side if we play without a winger down the left.

Moore is on a free by the way, O'Leary has already stated he can leave for free so if he does well for us, we'll get him for nowt.

I rate Commons highly, but I think there will be bigger teams after him than us, but you have to speculate to accumulate. We definately need a truely skillful player in our team and ideally that would be a winger. Partridge is my ideal choice as he'll be extremely cheap and again fits the criteria we are looking for. Young, hungry with a point to prove. He also ripped us to pieces in 02/03 season when we luckily beat Cov 2-1 at The Walkers.

Stearman isn't that much of a risk, he's one of the best prospects i've ever seen and it would be unfair to hold him back. Get him in there, this league has proved that experience isn't everything. It's about who wants it the most and confidence, well Stearman won't get those two vital ingredients unless he's playing.

I'd gamble on Francis Jeffers if he'd come, although he's well off form I think he could be devastating in this league, so could Jason Euell.

cant say im keen on moore, i dont think he'd be anything great.

whose this lita bloke?

besides i still think connolly can do a job for us, his link up play is good and he's an intelligent player, which, under levein's style, will be of benefit to us. the only reason he started badly was because of adam's hoof tactics.

give him one more year and then judge him, his confidence was shattered under adams and its only just starting to show signs of returning.

*(awaits backlash from connolly bashers)*

I think your being abit harsh on Moore aren't you? He's played 60 minutes of football for us. Infact he's hardly played any first team football this season and if your judging him on the game against Watford then that might of been a factor as to why he wasn't brilliant. Levein reckons he's destined for the top and considering Alex Ferguson tried to sign him and Luke Moore a few years ago he must have a good pedigree.

I think he's got potential, but he needs a goal early on in his City career to get going. Connolly and De Vries both went 10 games without a goal, De Vries is still awaiting his first infact. I rate Connolly though and I think he's an asset to any side in this league and potentially in the premiership.

maybe i am being harsh, its just my gut feeling on him.

fair enough fergie tried signing him, but like you say it was few years ago.

he possibly had some potential but he cant have come close to fulfilling it or he would at least be in o'leary's plans, villa have hardly been prolific this season have they?

hopefully il be proved wrong cos that'd mean he's done well for city but we shall see.......

glad you agree on connolly though!
